Colin
I like watching Eller's like develop. They've started drawing much better opposition match ups, and game after game you can see the adjustments and the increase in effort level. Yesterday they were really good and created most shifts, and tonight it continues. And now a goal for GioStyle. Nice!
Neech
Pleks line does the trick! Gorges with a nice play to keep it in and Diaz with a banker. He definitely called it.
Colin
Nope, it was Robidas - visions of his Hab days. LOL Wow, everyone on DD's line doing really well! (With the notable exception of DD who lost the puck, twice.)
Neech
Diaz's strategy of shooting the puck three feet off the net finally paid off - and he's going to stick with it!
Colin
Markov played that 3v1 perfectly.
Machine of Loving Grace
And at one point on the season, it ain't like he's a massive asset on the scoresheet either. I'm not excusing his play, only giving perspective, but he isn't the only slow starter in the league being paid relatively well. Brad Marchand (BOS) three points, -1 in 10 games. $4.5M per season Jordan Staal (CAR) three points, -3 in 12 games, $6M per season Shawn Horcoff (DAL) three points, -4 in 11 games, $5.5M per season Stephen Weiss (DET) two points, -5 in 12 games, $4.9M per season Kris Versteeg (FLA) five points, -4 in 12 games, $4.4M per season Dany Heatley (MIN) three points in 13 games, $7.5M per season Ryane Clowe (NJ) one point in six games, -5, $4.85M per season Pretty much everyone on the Philadelphia Flyers (highest scorer has six points) Chris Stewart (STL) two points, -2 in nine games, $4.1M per season Brooks Laich (WAS) two points, -7 in 12 games, $4.5M per season Again, just trying to show how we're not the only team with a non performing player. Plus our unperforming player makes a lot less than some of these guys (Imagine having to deal with Heatley).
Neech
Markov played that 3v1 perfectly. He sure did. Diaz should study the footage closely. Notice how at no point in time did Markov dive at the puck carrier.
Colin
He sure did. Diaz should study the footage closely. Notice how at no point in time did Markov dive at the puck carrier. He left the shot and positioned himself in such a position as to be able to intercept both the main cross-ice pass, but also potentially the drop pass. It was really brilliant. Dalhabs
Who had the bright idea of putting DD on that PP? I was thinking the same thing. Swedish comment on the ref being Dallas fifth defender there on the PP.

Ugh. Leblanc looked good that period and I think Therrien felt the same way. He had more TOI than Gallagher, Plekanec, and Galchenyuk. Colin
Leblanc looked good that period and I think Therrien felt the same way. He had more TOI than Gallagher, Plekanec, and Galchenyuk. The problem there is that he had two less shifts. I like that he's looking better, but he needs to make sure he's playing the team concept. Bournival given the goal. Colin
And then I look at Holland's stats and he too has shifts way too long.
