Its pathetic. We have no concept of history on this continent. none! I didn't say that they were. As for the tearing everything down, it's not necessarily due to lack of concept of history. Often "old" buildings in North America are replaced because they've become a safety hazard...something that doesn't happen in Europe for example because their building techniques from ages ago were much better than today's or even a hundred years ago. Also, the US and Canada have only been around 300 years or so. That's not long enough to have a solid sense of history. Now they just move because of 'luxury boxes' how pathetic. Now they tear down awesome classic decor buildings here for parking lots! Housing tear downs. They're tearing down cool 1930s, 40's, 50's brick buildings for McMansions. Big Box stores are an eye sore. At least some suburb communities are going into new urbanism. Come to Saint Louis and I'll show you what is going on, the injustice and people are oblivious to it. The buildings they are tearing down are not safety hazards.
