Mr. Nasty
This one isn't a joke... http://www.floridapanthers.com/
jetsniper
Dammit! I wanted him to sign with Detroit. I think Florida would've been smarter to go with Auld (unless Belfour will have a back-up role which I doubt)
simonus
Belfour will be the starter.... who sits out a ton of games to rest his back. Any resemblance to a tandem is completely coincidental.
Tony
Belfour is most likely going to back up or split duties with Auld.
JMMR
Well a good move for florida. The one thing that I think will be great is now the panthers will have a goalie who will want to shut down the leafs more then the habs!!!!!!!!!
mathieu30
I don't get this. From all those available they choose Mr. Belfour? Alex Auld Craig Anderson Jean-Marc Pelletier David Shantz Tyler Plante +Ed Belfour Eh? No, seriously, I don't get this one.
Chips
Finally, I knew Keenan wanted him; Eddie will play a large number of games during the season, he is a competitor and will want to give it his all. I do wish him the best; His back will be an issue but only time will tell how much longer it will keep him playing. If he stays healthy and plays consistantly, florida will look like roses, getting Eddie for peanuts, plus a few bonuses. (I'm guessing...) Captain_Stealth
I heard that Keenan reconsidered and only wanted Belfour as a backup. That is most likely the case here and he will go with Auld as the starter.
shortcat1
Well, I hope the best for him regardless. :king: :hlogo: :king:
RobRock
If Eddie lost both of his legs at the thighs, he'd still wanna be a starter. And if I'm Alex Auld, I'd better do my damnedest not to lose the starting job to a 40-year-old headcase with a wonky back.
CoRvInA
I don't get this. From all those available they choose Mr. Belfour? MAK
I don't get this. From all those available they choose Mr. Belfour? Alex Auld Craig Anderson Jean-Marc Pelletier David Shantz Tyler Plante +Ed Belfour Eh? No, seriously, I don't get this one. besides alex auld, none of them are legit nhler and I think auld is a good 2nd goalie( maybe some of you guys from vancouver can tell me more about him) anderson did something like 4-5 teams last year. jean- marc pelletier ?? shantz and plante are too young for now by signing belfour, I just think that Keenan secretly admitted that his team won't be in the playoffs next year and just looked for a goalie that won't make them look too bad
mathieu30
hmmm well this one plays for 750K Big Tiny reason! That's the part I understand. But why Belfour? "We've added depth and we've added some quality to the position." -Mike Keenan That's the part I do not understand. I can come up with numerous goalies who will play at that price, add depth & quality. Why Belfour? Experience? Auld is not a kid anymore. I just don't get it. But hey, it's their problem now. Trizzak
Belfour or Auld 4 times a season. Shit, I'll take it.
