Haboholic
what kind of impact do u guys think leclaire would have on the canadiens if he was picked off waivers? Edit: John LeClair is on waivers, not Pascal LeClaire.
Bacchus
what kind of impact do u guys think leclaire would have on the canadiens if he was picked off waivers? His impact would be HUGE. He would severly limit our ability to trade near the deadline for an effective center or another key aquisition because of the additional cap-hit. Furthermore, it would be just the kind of message that would destroy team moral and cohesion, and would send a firm and strong message that we have started grasping at straws. Leclaire is washed-up! justintb
Id rather wait till the trade deadline and get someone who's not washed up..... I would package rivet and plekanek and a first round draft pick for a second line center. He's too slow...we need speed
Athlétique.Canadien
I think this should be moved to NHL talk. As for Montreal, I'd rather they go and sign Youppi to play Edited November 30, 2006 by ATHLÉTIQUE.CANADIEN
lazy26
Maybe 10 years ago... but last time I checked... LeClair didn't possess a time-machine... just sub-par speed
sakiqc
what kind of impact do u guys think leclaire would have on the canadiens if he was picked off waivers? We already have 2 great goalies and the best goalie in the NHL. We don't need him! Pretty surprising to see Pascal Leclaire on waivers though.. Cataclaw
As for Montreal, I'd rather they go and sign Youppi to play That made me laugh. I can just imagine the big guy skating around, pulling off dekes, checking people into the boards, etc.
Bacchus
just to clarify, it is indeed John: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=186551&hubname=nhl
Mont Royale
wait LeClaire is a goalie? I must be thinking of the wrong Le Claire. hmmm He was making a joke about the spelling that the first poster used - the correct version is John LeClair. huzer
ahhhh i see.... Don't follow other teams that well. Get into fantasy hockey and you'll know who the Coyotes fourth line players are. Or Florida's 3rd defense pairing. Haha.

LeClair didn't possess a time-machine... just sub-par speed If the Habs were to pick up an old slow player, they may as well sign Allison. JMMR
No chance Bob would pick him up. Too bad for John just another player too slow for the new game, if anyone claims him I would guess it would be the Yotes.

Pierre the Great
the rangers will probably pick him up. They seem to like old slow players. Truth is somebody needs to tell LeClair the truth and just retire.

dark_faerie87
Rangers slow :?- The Rangers have some great team speed. Betts, Straka, Jagr, Cullen, Rachunek, Tutin. I agree. Up until this year, Toronto would have been a better pick for that, but I think they've gotten younger and faster.
Pierre the Great
ooops my bad I was thinking of the 1st NHL before it was reborn like the 4th Republic of France its an after thought. the old NHL LeClair would have been signed by the Rangers already.
