  1. Suzuki - caufield -andersson.... xg numbers in the toilet through two games together Slaf - monahan - armia...xG through the roof. Now i get moving slaf, we needed a second line. So keep that together. That said, Anderson cannot play with Suzuki and Caufield. Ive seen it enough for 3 years to know he doesnt work on that line.... try RHP, Ylonen, Pearson or literally anyone else.

  2. I would imagine the likelihood Dubois is traded this season, is less than zero. From rumour thread about Rangers as landing spot for Monahan. Monahan & a 2nd (Rangers dont have either their 2025-26 2nd picks) for Gabe Perreault, 36pts 23games as NCAA rookie. Cant see the Rangers trading Perreault, but he is a pretty shifty & skilled forward who might help Habs offense, so maybe Hughes could coerce Drury into a deal.

  3. The $64,000 Question is where does he "work"? He seems to be a classic "third wheel" ... he is able to do some specific things but for the most part he does them on his own, not as part of a unit.

  4. I think it would be way more fun to make it a legends game with players like Gretzky, Lemieux, Yzerman and so on.

  5. That probably means Xhekaj is staying I would guess. I was also thinking about the positive impact that being paired with Mailloux has had on the both of them. Keep them together all year and maybe we have a stud D pairing in the making - and they would be together for a decade.

  6. I’ve heard it said the All Star game is for two types of people: the NHL’s sponsors, for whom it is basically a week of fellatio, and for kids who just love seeing all the stars in one place. Funny thing is, despite my great age I remember being a kid; and yes, it was exciting to see all the big names facing off in those splashy uniforms in this hyped-up event; but I also remember being bored by the game after a few minutes.🤷‍♂️ It might have been worth replacing the All Star nonsense with the Heritage Classic as a true marquee events back before those things became sort of tired and overdone. But anyway, since money is involved, nothing meaningful will change.

  7. Oh I totally agree that PLD has way more upside, but has 7 years left vs three for Anderson. Anderson is also easier to trade after 2 yrs, because his actual salary is a lot lower. By the time we are ready to compete (hopefully), Anderson is off the books, whereas if PLD is a bust we are really screwed. in any event, I can’t see the kings giving up on PLD this early.

  8. At the last update (4 minutes to go in the third) Harris and Kovacevic were the best two players (not defencemen, players) on the team tonight at 66% xGF. But Harris stinks? Is the odd man out? What games are you all watching?

  9. I’ve been thinking for some time that he looks like the first “odd man out” from the crop of D that’s emerged during the rebuild. I’m just not seeing the smarts and efficiency I thought I saw in his game last year. You do have to factor in the ol’ sophomore jinx, but he looks more and more like another one of those Mete types who scratch out a borderline career, rather than be a legit regular.

  10. Boy…when we look back on the 2023-24 season, I hope we remember the very generous number of stellar goaltending performances our three-headed monster has provided. Allen has been just tremendous over two periods tonight.

  11. Guhle scoring off the rush down by the net…puck delivered from blue line by his D partner. I think our defence is going to score lots of goals every year

  12. My guess, same treatment as Roy; he start in Laval, if he shines and are injuries then called up.
