  1. I don't think anyone has ever questioned his intelligence, he is a smart kid. I think he is one of those quiet leader types.
  2. It was likely the only photo ever taken with Therrien smiling, bad memories.
  3. As we saw a couple days ago, a 3 goal lead against the Habs is not safe.
  4. Looking at the Canes lineup I can see why KK didn't play a lot, it's a pretty deep forward group.
  5. I think the Habs come up with a big effort tonight, my gut says a 4-2 victory for the Habs.
  6. That's what I see, a tough, physical, hard working 4th line winger if he makes it. Not a little pest, a good sized pest.
  7. Hi Don, I didn't see this post so I started a new thread. Sounds like he could be a tough, physical bottom 6 winger.
  8. https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadiens-sign-lucas-condotta-one-year-entry-level-contract-1.1779122 A nice article about him. https://www.lowellsun.com/2021/11/11/condotta-a-force-for-river-hawks/
  9. Yes but it also looks like Clayton Keller may have a serious injury and be out the rest of the year and there is zero incentive for Arizona to rush him back. I won't lose any sleep if the Habs go into a little slump. Having said that, I hope they work hard, have fun, have the young kids develop and gain confidence BUT I hope they come up just a little short in their remaining games, maybe win the odd one to keep morale up.
  10. That's good news. Evans is a player I really like but really worry about given his concussion history.
  11. No question it's still a long road to become a regular in the NHL but you have to be pleased with his progress considering he was a 5th round pick.
  12. I understand the context of your post now, didn't realize Theodore was taken right after. Yes, that would have been a much better pick.
  13. Michael McCarron with 2 goals tonight including a shorty? WTF Is it a full moon tonight.
  14. No quit in these Habs. I am confident they will tie in the final minute. Maybe Florida should have traded for Allen instead of Chiarot.
  15. Yup, that's another of my Captain Obvious statements. Hab's have some tough games coming, hopefully Florida, Tampa and Carolina don't take them lightly.
  16. You are not the only who is a little concerned. Would love to see the Habs get Wright or Slafkovsky especially now that they signed Harris and got Barron. Hopefully the lottery balls work in our favour.
  17. I agree, I will judge Hughes by what he does not what the rumour mill says. I like everything he has done so far.
  18. Good point, Marchand and Pasternak are on great contracts, I expect Pasternak will be getting a substantial raise after next year. And as CC pointed out they have done a great job targeting the right free agents. Chara turned out to be one of the best free agent signings ever, they got a lot of mileage out of Chara.
  19. I'll be honest, I hope the Habs lose tonight. They had their fun last night. This is a 4 point game and they are not far behind the Devils now. If they put up a good effort and lose 5-4 I will be happy.
  20. I think this is the real Caulfield, he plays his best when he has a smile on his face and having fun. I think it's safe to say that St. Louis is the right coach for him (Captain Obvious statement). Now beating Toronto is fun and great and all but if we win too many more we may draft outside the top 5. I think Jake Allen needs a little rest.
  21. Absolutely, getting a player of Paternak's ability at 25 is hitting a home run, it's very rare to get a player that good at 25. He was overlooked by a lot of teams but not the Bruins. Your point is well taken, to be consistently competitive, you have to find those gems outside the top 10 or 15 and develop them well. The Bruins have done a great job at this.
  22. Yes they are. Another thing they have done well is trade players at the right time (ie. traded Lucic for a big haul when they recognized the game was changing). Pasternak was actually a 1st round pick (#25 in 2014 right before Sherbak) but everything else you said is absolutely correct. Getting Bergeron in the 2nd round and Marchand in the 3rd was masterful. Being a Habs fan I have always had a strong dislike for the Bruins but their management team has done a great job keeping them competitive every year.
