Habs sign George "Bud" Holloway
Dalhabs replied to Machine of Loving Grace's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
The times I saw him he seemed to allways score ppgoals. If he can play smaller ice he can be a great addition.Maybe he can be that top6 rw we need. -
If we have another Bourque then at least its not the same $ and only one year. Send him to the minors and we clear out even more of Prusts 2.5M$.

A big part of SHL team Skellefteå during his time in Sweden. -
Dont worry, Gallagher brings that average down. But concidering Gallagher playing bigger than all those others evens it out.
-
Thing is I dont even live on the same continent as the habs but I would never ever consider changing my team. If I did I wouldve changed during the late 90s- early 2000s.
-
Ummm. So you are going to dump the team that has played alot of success for several years for a team that has been mediocre for most of its existance? Have fun with that.
-
Ok. Well cant really complain about anything. We did pick one of two hart trophy winners in that draft and that without a top3 pick.
-
If someone can pls fix this - rating to a +. My finger was to big on my ipad and I accidently got - instead of +.
-
I might have prefered if we drafted Kopitar and had Halak now... But if we didnt pick Price I bet it wouldve been Brule and that would have been horrible.
-
Why would they trade elite pieces like Yakupov and Draisaitl for a package? They can trade one of those straight up for a young top four dman.
-
Didnt know where to post this so made this thread. Mikael Backlund got 3.75M/year 3 years. I guess Galchenyuk got some numbers to compare with now.
-
What we need is for someone more than Pacioretty to take a huge step forward. Id prefer a center *Caughlchenyuk* but if any of the others can emerge into a responsible 70point player id be happy and the team would be alot better. Getting the PP to function again might do the job for us. A very good scenario would be if Price plays a little worse next season but an improved PP fixes that and then Price goes into godmode just in time when the playoffs begin. Dont think we need much more than that to be really fighting for that cup. Trading away the future for Patrick Sharp or Kessel is something I think is a horrible misstake.
-
Not to mention that Price guy... 6.5M and not a goal scored yet. At least Theodore scored a goal...

Didnt Rucinsky play for the czechs this spring?

Evaluating Players - price to performance

Doesnt Prust have 2.5M? -
Yeah because we were a real powerhouse the season Eric Cole played for us.
-
I think the only reasonable chance we have is to get real development from our youth. We really need Galchenyuk to turn into a 60+ point center. Then if some other prospect can turn into a top6 forward like Filip Forsberg did for Nashville. I dont want more prospects turning into bottomliners. We have enough of those. Gallagher is great but is he really any more than a average 2ndliner at best?

Question: Will the Habs have the money and desire to sign Jeff Petry?
Dalhabs replied to REV-G's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Markov one year left. Could we squeeze Petry in for next season and then replace Markov with his deal? -
Great post. When 11 out of 12 forwards are 2nd liners at best you cant really blame MT for them not scoring.

in unbelievable! Now go lose that fourth game and let the cleansing begin.
