  1. Watched it on PVR, and I am happy with the result. Not impressed with how they came out of the gate, taking that penalty and getting scored on a 6-on-5 after a bad change. Patches made some nice passes, it seems like he is putting more emphasis on improving that part of his game. Drouin, like Galchenyuk, tries to dangle his way through too many other player. Nice to see Price battling, and Hudon coming through big time. finally, I like the 4th line. I don't know if it would be better with McCarron at center. DeLarose is done
  2. That was a very good thread. I don't know if you have seen this article; it helped me revisit TT's records from a positive perspective : https://recrutes.ca/trevor-timmins-drafting-record-top-class/ (found the link)
  3. I am glad I missed this one. Right now, I'm like: let's trade Price, let's beg Markov to come back, let's conjure the forum phantoms, let's... let's
  4. This the post-game interview (embedded video) where he says it in French. The one I remember is either on a radio interview or RDS' Antichambre TV program where he repeated it but laughing abou it http://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/612830/canadien-eller-patinage I don't think I will be able to find that one. You may have right about Gionta, but I seem to remember it
  5. In French (I listen to sports radio in French) he said laughing "il brayait dans mes bras" if i find a clip, I'll par it
  6. We should have cut him lose whe he tore up his knee the second time and go a different direction. Gionta tore up of his arm muscles and MT made fun of him crying in his arms. Saku was not even offered a contract. In those cases the CH didn't show any respect. But Markov, geeze!
  7. Patches tried to get the puck in the OF that Daneault lost. He was in position in the slot. He hustled back and overstated the guys on the 2 on one, tried to play defence and goalie at the same time and looked terrible, but he was there while Danault was still at the blue line... come on!
  8. Me too. Until he is traded or retires, I will root for him to succeed
  9. Me too. Until he is traded or retires, I will root for him to succeed
  10. The guy who's trying too hard to become the player everybody else want him to be.
  11. Go Pacioretti Go! Three cheers for the hat trick from the captain !
  12. I my dream world pacioretty and a tavares-like center make $7.5M each from next year. After Pleks is not renewed
  13. I don't want Pacioretty traded for more reasons than I didn't want Galchenyuk traded. If/when we have a contending team, he will be a good piece of the puzzle. if we never become contenders, he can follow Koivu and Giontta and just walk
  14. Dany Dubé, the game color commentator on Montreal radio, said last week that the Holland deal was to accomodate a player for which the team didn't have any future plans. I believe the same applies to Davidson. If i remember correctly, MB has said in the past that he would try to accomodate players to play somewhere else if they don't fit in Montreal. overall, I think it is good for the organization to be seen as giving players a real chance to play in the NHL
  15. I'll second that!!! I think the lack of develeopment of ghosts in the MB era is what has been holding this team back!
  16. Man! If Claude Julien continuos like this ... I'll have to stop disliking him: structure, patience, keeping lines/pairings together
  17. Cammalleri, Moore, and I am starting to be fed up with Subban getting so much airtime
  18. JoeLassister, the streak continues What a nice win by the CH. Schlemko an Jerabek are an improvement. And Carey is back
  19. I don't share your level of disgust toward MB. But I agree on your view of Giroux vs Radulov: good point!
  20. Bust, but still hoping CP31 can get hot and make a miracle happen. i think this year they will execute their retool plan, re-shaping the team to CJ and establishing his system. If they improve so much by the trade deadline to take a run they will spen their cap space for the missing pieces but my feeling is that they are preparing for a big splash in next year's free agent market, with Pleks coming off the payroll and the stashed cap space and draft picks
  21. I've lived in Ottawa since 2000, and I do not remember any of Garrioch's predictions concerning the Canadiens ever materializing.
