  1. Lol, ok I can understand the hate for the Leafs. I just see it as one less difficult team in Tampa to potentially have to go through. Would rather play the leafs if it came down to it but odds are neither one would make it past the 'juggernauts in the Metro division' as you put it.
  2. Really? You would rather Tampa gets in? I think if they got in they would cause a lot of damage with the way they were playing plus they're on the verge of getting back some of their injured guys. I wouldn't relish the thought of playing them down the road so I'm glad they're out. I think that's a series the Habs lose.
  3. Whatever dude, you obviously have more free time on your hands than I do to keep posting on this so I'm not going to take the bait again other than to say this. I actually like chucky. What I'm fed up with is his inability to be the number one centre this team needs. I'm fed up with the expectations that he will ever be such a player. He's one dimensional and has a zero defensive hockey IQ. I'm fed up with his fragile mental state and immaturity that leaves him playing like sh!t when he loses confidence because they keep moving him when he fails as a centre and then bring him back like he has magically become a different player. So I'm fed up with the coaching staff that doesn't recognize this up to this point. Maybe Julien will come to this realization once and for all because I don't want to see him keep bouncing around between positions looking like a lost puppy night after night. Right now he's a second line winger on this team. Let him stay on the wing and use that one timer. I don't expect anymore from him and wish everyone, including himself, can live with that.
  4. Yes most of the season. Even if he played well 41 games, which he didn't, he would still have played bad for most of the season.
  5. Yeah he's really bad. If you think he's playing well then I don't know what to tell you.
  6. So what's your point? If they played for the Habs I'd be calling them out too.
  7. When this was originally posted I scoffed at the idea but now I'm not so sure. Last night against Tampa he looked totally lost and has been terrible for most of this season. I think I'm running out of patience as well The Bobby. When 4rth line players are making more of an impact on a nightly basis there there has to be a problem. Hard to call a former 30 goal guy a bust but I can't see him ever getting there again if he doesn't change his game. I think part of it is he's really fragile mentally and the shuffling from centre to wing and back has made him lose confidence.
  8. I'm liking Martinsen more than King at this point. He made something happen almost every time he came out.
  9. He ####s up too much. Sorry, you can be a great player but if the team loses because you make one stupid play per game, you need to go (see PK). For me I would rather they keep Benn protected over him come the expansion draft. He's always going to be that guy that cripples the team with his brain farts.
  10. Why would you play price consecutive nights when you have a competent backup? Dumb idea...
  11. Weber has been so much better since leaving Emelin. It just wasn't working out, kinda like me and the missus. Oh and please keep the first line in tact Mr. Julien,
  12. So is this guy going to be protected for the expansion draft? Probably not so his stay in Montreal could be short.
  13. Gallagher & first for Duchene. Do it.
  14. I remember some guy back in the day calling him Princess Leia...due to his hair pattern I guess.
  15. Good ole Yannick sure do miss him. Glad you guys made a thread for him.
  16. So Barberio gone. He's nothing spectacular but a steady D with experience that could fill in and handy to have around for depth. Pushed out twice by Nesterov first from Tampa and Montreal. Any hard feelings I wonder.
  17. I really hope this isn't something requiring surgery for Galchenyuk.
  18. Montreal needs a guy like McCarron, no doubt about it. The size, physical presence, ability to stand up for teammates, decent skill... sorely needed here. He needs to gets faster. It's all between the ears now for him. Does he have the will to get himself up to the fast pace of the NHL. I can't see how this guy wouldn't be useful if he can improve in that capacity.
