  1. Farrell officially onboard. Welcome to the fold!
  2. So ... I guess the door is open to try to get him to sign a "tryout contract" with Laval for the rest of this season.
  3. Asking those that watch The Rocket more closely ... is he worth a contract slot?
  4. @$1.4M per season per TSN 690, and CapFriendly.
  5. Habs resign Jordan Harris to a 2-year $2.8m, $1.4m AAV, deal as per TSN. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/montreal-canadiens-sign-jordan-harris-to-two-year-2-8-million-contract-extension-1.1917482
  6. A little surprised with this one, I thought he was a bubble guy for a contract between now and June. http://www.habsworld.net/2022/10/habs-sign-william-trudeau/
  7. Montreal Canadiens (have) agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with goaltender Jake Allen (until the end of the 2024-25 season). The deal has an average annual value of $3.85 million. Overall good news ... while he seemed like an attractive rental at the deadline next March, goalies never seem to bring "big" returns ... and, it brings some stability to the goalie position going forward ... also, the AAV is reasonable so Allen may still attract offers for HuGo to consider. Amongst goalies who played 20+ games last season, $3.85 would pace him 25th in AAV this season if it kicked in immediately.
  8. Means nothing on the cap when he is in Laval ... and if he were to displace Montembeault on the roster (***NOT*** expecting it in the short-term) it actually saves $110K.
  9. Two-year deal, financials undisclosed. (Remember when they said they'd start publishing terms? That didn't last long...) https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/two-year-contract-extension-for-rem-pitlick/c-335011802
  10. One-year, two-way deals each. http://www.habsworld.net/2022/07/habs-sign-mitchell-stephens-and-anthony-richard/
  11. RH d-man, this should be a veteran signing for Laval.
  12. One-year, two-way deals for each. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2022/07/canadiens-re-sign-three-players.html (I'm on PHR coverage this morning so it may take a bit for the HW write-up.)
  13. While I'm still a bit puzzled as to why he was even qualified in the first place, the Habs re-signed Michael Pezzetta to a one-year, two-way deal today. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/08/habs-re-sign-michael-pezzetta/
  14. https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadiens-chris-wideman-extension-1.1809188 Cheap depth, presumably. SN has him at $750/775: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/canadiens-sign-chris-wideman-to-two-year-contract-extension/ I like offensive defencemen and have no beef in particular against Wideman, but given that he is closely associated with last season’s debacle - the sort of guy you would move along from, if your goal is to turn the page on a horrendous season - this does make me wonder if management is thinking ‘status quo’ for next year. Which would make Tank Nation quite happy, I suspect.
  15. http://www.habsworld.net/2022/04/habs-sign-emil-heineman/ 3-year ELC that begins next season and he'll head to Laval to finish off the season.
  16. https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/adam-nicholas-hired-as-director-hockey-development/c-331443686 https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/latest-news/2022/3/4/22961917/montreal-canadiens-name-adam-nicholas-director-of-hockey-development-player-prospects
  17. 3-year ELC; the contract won't slide even though he has been sent back to junior. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/10/habs-sign-arber-xhekaj/
  18. Poehling is officially in the training camp mix to battle for a spot
  19. Elliotte Friedman tweet: Michael McNiven (MON) settle: $750K NHL/$100K AHL/$110K guarantee
  20. Lehkonen has re-signed - one-year, $2.3M. It's slightly below last year's cap hit but still above his qualifying offer. http://www.habsworld.net/2021/07/habs-re-sign-artturi-lehkonen/
