brobin Posted January 13, 2007 Share Posted January 13, 2007 One thing that has gotten this team in trouble all year is a strong forecheck. They never seem to make the adjustment. Hard forecheck means hard out, wingers have to come down to protect the boards. The habs defense doesn't seem to clue in and keep trying to make short passes in the zone with no time, leading to lots of turn overs. The forwards are not coming back to keep the box tight to support the defense either. Most games they lose are the result of the other team using the hard forecheck gameplan.
