Pierre the Great
Funny thing is that the famous bird of Missouri is of the baseball team the Cardinals. Plus that plate is really feminist for an anti-feminist state. And no its not a politician Shortcat its an artist. I've said it before jlp knows him. Its funny because anyone can vote on this and this is the official vote.

revvvrob
i don't like the reflection - and the ribbon is meaningless to me i went for the bird - assuming that the bluebird is significant in some way. i'm glad they are keeping the 'show-me state' slogan on there - and - i'm glad they are not using those brown plates anymore - yuck! Pierre the Great
Yeah the bluebird is the state bird BUT nobody likes to bring it up because of the St. Louis CARDINALS. (The cardinal is the Illinois state bird, we've got the blue bird lol)
Pierre the Great
Yeah the Red plates were disgusting. lol. If it came down to licence plates that I like, nothing beats Oregon, Washington and NWT (da polar bear, nothing beats da polar bear! roar!) Oh and how could I forget DC's TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION thats classic. Worst has to be California how boring.
RobRock
And no its not a politician Shortcat its an artist. I've said it before jlp knows him. Morrissey?
revvvrob
ya - NWT is the best plate out there - by far. so - with your state bird being the blue bird - you would naturally have an easier time cheering for the Blue Jays - as opposed to the Cardinals! actually, i've always understood that the Cardinals were not named after the bird, but after a class of catholic priest. anyone else have info on that? JoeLassister
the bird one is so ugly LOL
Pierre the Great
I have no idea revvrob but as you know you lived in Cardinal Country and the people would revolt if the bluebird was on the plate lol. We don't talk a lot about the 'state' bird obviously in missouri history class. haha I'll look up to where the Saint Louis Cardinals got their name. JLP
ditto I picked the bluebird -- Missouri is very accommodating, imagine anybody anywhere on the planet, even Cubans and North Koreans, can participate in selecting their license plates! BTH
oh, you guys made your choice based on political reasons? I just went with the one I thought looked the nicest...
