I had just caught word of this non-issue issue with PK, Gill and the Sweater...oh the sweater..

The media will ruin PK, they will run him out of town, I know he's a great kid, has a great head on his shoulder. Everything he does gets reported, look I'm here talking about it.

I don't think the media will run PK out of town, despite their best efforts. (BTW I loved how Arpon Basu discredited the whole non-story.) Like you said, P.K. has a good head on his shoulders and he doesn't seem to mind the extra attention. Factor in that he's always loved the Habs, and I think he'll be with us for a long time.

He was on radio CKAC a few moment after the "incident" saying that he would confront anyone about how IT WAS AN ISSUE and this morning, told that he changed his text and that the newspaper didn't use the new one (clearly implying that he first wrote a text saying that it was not a joke).

THis really isn't the type of start I expected after that crap NJ game. I really don't get the constant shuffling with the lines - there just does seem to be any chemistry on any of the lines the last few games.

Lucic what a tool :angry: I really wish the habs would cheapshot him like he deserves. He doesn't deserve to have someone drop the gloves - just give him a piece of his own medicine - a cheap crosscheck or hit from behind would suit me fine :angry:

The first 12 minutes or so weren't bad, I actually thought the Habs were the better team in that stretch. Then Boston scored and it all went downhill from there. Kostitsyn looks awful out there and Subban is looking a little flustered. I've got a bad feeling about him this game, Boston's going to find a way to rile him up.

3 Hab forwards had shots that period - Gomez and Pyatt (yes, Pyatt) had 2, Desharnais 1. Gotta be better in that department. I'm eagerly awaiting the penalty summary for that scrum at the end of the period.

If they even out the calls - I'll be pretty pissed!

It seems everyone who plays with Gomez looks awful.

Are you kidding me??? Price and Lucic get offsetting minors so the Habs are still shorthanded. And Moen gets 10??? ...Price gets 2 for getting crosschecked, wow.

Edit: The NHL statsheet says Lucic has 6 PIMS in the 1st, which means another penalty may not be reported. That helps a bit, it'd undo the PP at least.

Let me guess...the Habs should feel honoured to be on the same ice surface as the Bruins. They should be thankful that Lucic went after Price, it's a sign of respect? Actually, you probably could make that argument come to think of it.

I listened to the first 5 minutes on satellite radio on the way home from work - which of course meant listening the homer Bruins announcers. They were going on how PK is making a name for himself for all the wrong reasons and that he has had numerous chances to drop the gloves against the Bruins but has refused. Hmmm, how many times did Ray Bourque drop the gloves against scrubs from the other team????

I'm not saying they should have done it now. What i'm saying is that this has been going on for years and the habs have NEVER run the other goalie to retaliate.

Also what is the point for taking a stupid misconduct unless you do some damage to the other team.
