Not a great start for Kidney who was injured and had to be helped down the tunnel.  Considering he's very much on the bubble to actually make the team, that's not going to help his cause.

Bedard also had high praise for the Habs’ 150th-overall pick in 2021:

“He’s the player that’s kind of popped to me the most. I didn’t know too much about him before the summer and he’s unbelievable. You watch him in practice, and I don’t think he misses a shot. He’s so smart. He’s someone I love watching.”

Oliver Kapanen has signed a one-year extension with KalPa in Finland so he's under contract there through next season.
