Trizzak Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Ugh. Game over. Now the question is, will they score a goal? Quote
JMMR Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 That was unlucky but I would guess this game is over. Quote
BCHabnut Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Looks like men against boys. This game is junk so far. Quote
brobin Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Habs are done. They are icing it when they don't have to. They are playing not to lose. This game was won on reputation. The habs are playing scared. They are not playing their own game. Add in bad reffing and bad luck, and it is no contest. Quote
JMMR Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Meanwhile on the Island Viny the Coward has a hat trick. 1 Quote
Lovett's Magnatones Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 These guys did a great job tonight. By rights, with the disparity between the two teams, it should be 5/6-0. Quote
JMMR Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 SHould have just forfeit this game. Wast of time. Quote
BCHabnut Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 How in the HELL is that not a penalty? Quote
BCHabnut Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I wish we would have had a chance at a defensive coach as good as san Jose. Quote
Lovett's Magnatones Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 And after three periods of domination, we're getting roughed up a bit. Quote
habscout Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 San Jose sure improved defensively. I wonder why??? A couple of reasons. Last season they got rid of some older, slower veterans [Ryan Clowe, Douglas Murray, Michal Handzus] which allowed their younger, faster youngsters a chance to get more icetime and improve the overall team speed. Second, it's an Olympic year, and the last time the Olympics were on, the Sharks had a great start to the year with guys like Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau scoring like crazy. For the defence, I think they're solid with Niemi, and their younger defencemen have all gained experience and improved. This team plays a really aggressive forecheck with has messed up the Habs and a lot of other teams so far this season. Quote
brobin Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Egg line is really struggling now that they are playing against the top lines of the other teams. It isn't easy being the top line. Quote
Guest Stogey24 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Egg line is really struggling now that they are playing against the top lines of the other teams. It isn't easy being the top line. Need to shake the lines up. Quote
Lovett's Magnatones Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Need to shake the lines up. Desharnais for Tomas Kopecky? Quote
habs rule Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 It would have been a solid hit if it wasn't a head shot. and your aunt would be your uncle if she had balls Let's trade DD for Gomez! LOL be a hell of a lot cheaper NOW. Quote
dlbalr Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 A stat I just posted on Twitter, I know some on here won't like this. With the Habs down 2 and 4:22 to go, here's how the D TOI went: Bouillon: 2:49 Subban: 1:58 Markov: 1:33 Gorges: 1:14 Diaz: 1:10 Beaulieu: 0 (only 1 shift in the 3rd) In that situation, I'm thinking of sitting Bouillon, not double-shifting him. Neech Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 A frustrating and somewhat mind-numbing loss. But on the bright side, we mostly hung in with an elite team. The goals came from a powerplay (with a questionable non-call) and a fluky bounce. We were outplayed, but not by too much. 1 Quote
habs rule Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 OK now all the haters say after me "this was not carey's fault" repeat until I say so. Quote
comfortfablyHABS Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 We are not contenders and the Sharks are, not surprised at all. We've ought to be patient, this team will become only better, maybe in 2 - 3 years we will be dominant. Quote
Neech Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 As a side note, how horrible was Couture's 'stache? I guess with Tyler Kennedy on the team he knows no matter what he does he won't be the ugliest. Quote
