habscout
That was a much better period. Most of the team had their skating legs. Both Markov and Subban look out of sorts tonight (poor reads, slow, etc). Their ice time has gone up over the past few weeks, fatigue was bound to strike. Totally agree. This is the period where I thought the 4th line would get more ice time.
Trizzak
The Galchenyuk line did not play much in the 2nd. Briere is under 7 minutes of ice time for the game, Galchenyuk under 6. (Eller is just over 10, part of which is aided by PK time.) Shame. Briere was the one who breathed life into the Habs offense.

habscout
Outshot 10-3 so far...not a good sign. Need to step up the offense without unnecessary risks.

habscout
I cannot believe that Brendan Gallagher was never on a Team Canada U20 junior team. I mean, come on, Brad Marchand made the team and Gallagher had better stats.

habscout
Habs are in defensive shell mode. Crossing my fingers they survive the next 5+ minutes.
Meller93
I hate when teams go full on protect the lead mode. I haven't breathed since the start of the third.
brobin
Man, they really need a shift in the boston zone. At least clear the zone and stop turning it over at the line.

habscout
I'm lovin' that last shift by DD, Max and Gally. Great pressure in the O zone. 38 seconds to go....I have no fingernails left!
zumpano21
Subban has to have softer hands. Can't afford an icing in that situation.
brobin
I'm lovin' that last shift by DD, Max and Gally. Great pressure in the O zone. 38 seconds to go....I have no fingernails left! Exactly what they needed.

WE need to have the offensive guys out like on that shift. Most of this period they have been in a defensive shell - which is going to lead to an ulcer of me! Lovett's Magnatones
Who would have predicted defense like this looking at the lineup before the season? Bruins and the Laffs in one week! Even my lowly Panthers won, hell of a night.
