BCHabnut
Gorges fault again. Nash was alone there It was a 3 on 2.
Lovett's Magnatones
That was Gionta's fault in the neutral zone. Win or lose, I think Budaj gets the start Thursday. I think Therrien wanted a reaction, ans he got it, but Lundqvist showed why he's the King.
kuternoga
It was a 3 on 2. 2 of them was close to Subban. Gorges should go to Nash.
BCHabnut
2 of them was close to Subban. Gorges should go to Nash. Puck was posessed by the left winger. Subban covered him. If Gorges abandons the centre and allows him to take the middle of the ice, just to cover Nash on the right side, that would be insane. Lovett's Magnatones
Tokey has to have that one. Nash shot the puck from so far downtown, I thought he was Lebron James.

dlbalr
That was a tough way to end the period but I liked the period as a whole from the Habs. If they play like that for the 2nd/3rd, they'll be fine. Galchenyuk not surprisingly is being eased back in, he played just 2:25 in the 1st. I suspect as the game progresses, he'll see more regular time. kuternoga
He should block that shot. But nevermind.. it's 2-1... Maybe Chucky will score in 2nd period.

hab29RETIRED
they need to get Vanek and Galchenyuk away from Pleks. that line isn't working. Give them a go with Briere.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
That was an absolutely amateur-hour call on Galchenyuk, but the fact is the Habs have taken too many stupid penalties. Subban's in particular was outright moronic and not something we'd have seen in the earlier series. I think what we're seeing here is a team on which a significant number of players no longer really believe they can win and are therefore no longer playing with the iron discipline they need. That Nash goal was a real killer. We're done.

Toronthab
With Price in goal we win this game. Unreal call on the hagelin dive.Vanek sucks. Don't want him Vanek really does suck. Lots of skill, no balls.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Vanek has shown himself to be a weathervane player - he lists as the team does, instead of taking charge when he has to. A good choice for teams without a lot of playoff expectations, or else a stacked team looking for that extra element. Minny is neither, but that won't stop Vanek from getting a stupid offer. Torontohab, the bottom line is the Habs put themselves in a corner. First they fell asleep in Game One and thus turned this into a must-win. Then with Price hurt, they took a number of unnecessary, momentum-killing penalties. Heck, if they'd won the first game, we'd all be upset at this game tonight, but it'd remain a matter of making adjustments (including in net) and crossing our fingers. Now, the series is over in five games, max. Pretty frustrating, but that's the playoffs for you.
hab29RETIRED
are we trying to kill the clock right now??? We got Briere for the playoffs (a move i hated!!). But we may as well give him a chance with Galchenyuk and Vanek, to earn his $4m. This PP is the last chance to get back in the game. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
The team has hit the limit of its will to win. With the loss of Carey Price - the key man on the roster and clearly a team leader - we needed a bit of luck, to be rewarded for our superior play. When, instead, things broke the other way, it was over.
dlbalr
Has the fourth line played at all this period? Prust and Briere both played more than they did in the 1st. Weise's TOI was pretty close to his first period total as well.
