Freaking good news for 2011 for me. My grandfather will paint me a new painting, 30'' X 24'' with this picture as the inspiration :

His style consists to reproduce old pictures of streets/monuments/cities, mainly in Montreal and mainly from the 50s or 60s.

I'm gonna have to call my insurance company and ask them to insure me for a couple more thousands dollars in my appartment since his painting usually sell between 1000$ and 4000$

That is totally awesome.

I have this in my bedroom:

It was painted by one of my brother's friends.

Mom and dad have this in their kitchen:

They also have one or two of his other paintings, and a mask he welded/decorated. My brother has a painting or two, my other brother also has one I think, and my (maternal) grandpa has one too.

All these upsets in March Madness equals the end of my bracket. Only 1 team left out of my Final Four now, though I suppose that's not terrible considering I've watched as much NCAA basketball as I have Indonesian cricket.

Well... everything. WTF is this ? The rules are ######ed up man. Actually, only the "faceoffs" are really ######ed up.

Scrums make the most sense. There are so many things to try and explain. It's easier to watch a game with someone and explain as you go.

I played prop so I was front row in those "faceoffs", does quite a number on your back, shoulders and ears.

Are you guys being sick a lot ? I mean, do you catch a cold or have a flu sometimes ?

The last time that I've been sick was in 2005. Never missed any day of work or school ever since.

I haven't missed a day of school or work since at least 2002. I get the occasional cold, especially while I was teaching, but nothing ever bad enough to keep me in bed. I've chosen to miss a handful of social events because I wasn't feeling great, but mostly because I didn't want to be out and it suddenly got worse. I, do, however, get a couple headaches every month. Most just need a quick nap and some Alleve or Excedrin, but occasionally (once or twice a year) they get really bad and I end up puking.

I get the flu almost every year sadly and get colds every other month.

Last year I got swine flu one week and then the next I got strep throat

I've been taking English class at work once a week for the last 5-6 weeks.

This week's homework is to fill the blanks with Verbal Idioms. All of this Back up/off/down/away Come out/in/over/up , etc is ######ING DIFFICULT !!!

I'm having a really hard time for like 80-90% of the blanks I need to fill !!!

Was just watching the Thanksgiving Day parade on NBC (y'know, the NHL's network affiliate) cause Packers/Lions was in a commercial and the NHL float came on carrying Larry Murphy and Cam Neely since the Bruins and Red Wings play tomorrow.

Matt Lauer proceeded to utter the words "Be sure to watching the Thanksgiving Showdown tomorrow right here on NBC featuring the Detroit Red Wings taking on the Boston Brewers!"

Or something like that. But he called them the Brewers.
