BTH
These 2 points would tie us with the Leafs and put us into a playoff spot. Go Habs Go!

Mont Royale
The Laffs are playing NYR twice leading up to the break - should be two Leaf losses, if both teams play to their ability. This is a great opportunity for Montreal, if we can come up with a couple of big wins. Let's go into the break on a high! Go Habs Go!! :hlogo:

mathieu30
So who's in nets? That is the question. To be or not to be - that's the question! Huet will start, according to La Presse. NOT going to get his first goal tonight! (There, let's see if that works) Thanks! Zed & Koivu won't dress due to the flu. Go Habs go! :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:

gohabsgo252006
For the lines here are my guesses, assuming no Koivu and no Zednik Higgins Plex Ryder Zhogs Ribeiro Kovalev Bulis Bonk Downey Sundstrom Begin Dandenault Markov Komisarek Sourray Rivet Bouillon and Streit (Sucks that we sent Cote Down, if we're dressing 7 Dmen) Then again, since Hamilton and Buffalo are so close perhaps we can call up Kostytsin then I predict it to look like this Higgins Plex Ryder Zhogs Ribeiro Kovalev Bulis Bonk Kosty Sunny Begin Downey I like the second set better, b/c then we don't have to dress Streit, and truthfully I'm hoping he never plays again for the Habs, I think with Gainey behind the bench, it's safe to say that the Streit Experiment is over. habs rule
it is a sad commentary when who the ref is is more important than who the starting goalies are. Hopefully donut boy (fat pig) does not get the opportunity to affect this game the way he did last time GO HABS GO

Colin
According to RDS, Saku is supposed to play tonight.
GoHabs2002
i wouldnt say that,BG is the one that draft him and sign him, so you never know They needed to get Streit in 30 games because of the terms of his contract, they did that. Now he's a depth man all the way.
gohabsgo252006
Seems like Saku will play and Zed won't. Thus I doubt we will see much of an effect on the lineup, probably just Sundstrom inserted where Zednik was before, or maybe even Bonk moving up to the wing or moving Plex to his wing. The top two lines will remain the same though, Hopefully Saku is feeling well enough, not to just play but to contribute.

kaos
They needed to get Streit in 30 games because of the terms of his contract, they did that. Now he's a depth man all the way. And lets not forget cost us Hainsey who is quietly playing some excellent hockey in Columbus and had another 2 assists the other night...last night??? What a waste
umpalumpa55
All u streit bashers must be smokin something better than i have, cuz he is an amazing player...talent wise He is missing one thing right now, and anyone in his situation would also....CONFIDENCE....just look at jose....he has one of the highest GGA and lowest Save % in the leage........ So i guess he must be a useless piece of trash with no skill.......ABSOLUTELY WRONG when a player is not playing with confidence they look out of place and they look like they cant make a pass, or shoot the puck properly, or stick handle at all, and they give the puck up all the time.....this is not due to their skill at all...all these guys in the NHL are there for a reason and striet has to be somthing special for bob to bring him in....plus hes captain of the swiss team I have seen flashes of brilliance from streit and once he puts it all together he will be a boullion type of defencemen, but with an offensive punch that the habs do not have right now. all this negativity towards him just impedes his progress even more...u never know he could be on this forum readin all this bullshit right now....how does that make him feel if his fans are against him So show some support for a guy who lived in a foreign counrty and is in an environment where it is hard from him to make progess quickly... Dont alienate him ( streit experiment ) MOTIVATE HIM !!!! 5-3 win for the boys goals: Kovalev, Perezhogin (2), Ryder, Plekanec Afinogenov, Kotalik, drury perezhogin has a break out night baby!!! go habs go Edited February 9, 2006 by umpalumpa55
