Prime Minister Koivu
Kind of feels like an inflection point type of game. Habs are riding a 4 game losing streak and a win may propel us back to better play and more wins. Another loss, especially if the Habs lose big, could send us spinning. I want a win and to do that Montreal must overcome the loss of Guhle and Montembault needs a strong game. I don’t want the losing streak to continue…

Armia, Kapanen, Heineman would be a terrific 4th line
xXx..CK..xXx
Armia Evans Reinbacher Demidov Anaheim has some decent players within their lineup but seem to dislike their coach as ridiculous as it sound. At least some of the players. Effort isn’t always there as a result. Dostal has been one of the better goalies in the league this year in terms of keeping his team in games more often than they should have been. When we played them on December 9th, he allowed 2 goals on 21 shots and it took us a shootout to defeat them. With all that having been said, I feel better heading into this game than the past few. Not in the sense of simply predicting a win, but it is about time we snap out of things and this may be the team we do it against. On the other end, it’s our California trip and recent history hasn’t been kind to us in general there.
Butterface
Kapanen Evans Mailloux Demidov Are the ones that I said yes to. Evans being a linchpin. If he isn’t signed, I could see one of Beck or Armia being on the list. Trades need to be made before I see Roy up next year and Reinbacher up straight away. Weird times. The returns we thought we could get at the beginning of the year for players, has now been reduced to not much. The yields at TDL, if any, will be sparse. Obviously this string of games is important and factor in to what we do at TDL. Hopefully we play ourselves back into contention, but if we don’t, hopefully we play ourselves back into contention of receiving a strong draft pick. If not one, at least the other isn’t too bad. I think we were being a bit optimistic back then, and a bit pessimistic now. While Savard's play and value have dropped, both Armia and Evans have played strongly and the returns will be higher, should they be traded. Evans and Armia boosted their stock and Savard is playing as well as expected, same for Dvorak who really wont factor in and wasnt expected to. Maybe you just had unrealistic expectations?

DON
1 Duck at least should be watched closely, or not left open.
Butterface
1 hour ago, DON said: Maybe you just had unrealistic expectations? If you look back I had very little expectations for Armia and Dvorak.. very, very little. I believe a bag of pucks came up… but yes Armia played well since. Thought a late first for Savard. Evans I don’t think I thought much of either…. Maybe third or more likely a fourth. Anyway, as season went on Armia trade value expectations had risen along with Evans.. but now their trade value over the last few weeks has dropped again according to TSN. Evans won’t bring a first like maybe we’d hoped only a few weeks ago. None of our players will bring a tidy sum except for Matheson who has a year left on a very reasonable deal, but still not as much as proposed a few weeks back. Savard has dropped throughout the whole season.
Commandant
Until the trade is made, we are all just guessing on value.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I've been surprised at how few rumours I'm hearing about the Habs' possible deadline manoeuvres. I guess it's either too early, or the Habs don't plan to do much. (Or maybe HuGo run a tight ship rumours-wise, LOL).

I don't think Hughes shares much trade information in advance. That would be consistent with his background and how a player agent needs to work, too.
Prime Minister Koivu
I think Armia might have good value. He plays a very hard board game and has good offensive skills.
xXx..CK..xXx
Happy to note Troy Terry isn’t playing today. He’s their top player so no Guhle, no excuses. …. Shortyyyyy Evans to Armia 🚨 Damn right he has value. Value for us.

xXx..CK..xXx
Looks like it’s 1pm for Anaheim and 4pm for the Habs. We need to learn how to pull away in a game. Get a few more and keep the foot on their neck. We’re a decent team in 1 goal games but the last I can remember us being up by a few was when we were up 3-0 against Toronto. Wonderful experience it was being there live (not). We all know how things turned out in that game.

Butterface
We needed this. We need to hold the 2 goal lead and add to it. We need the points. We need a renewed confidence. Would like both goalies to get good starts and wins.
