lazy26
Well, this game is crucial no matter what way you look at it. The Canes will come out flying, but if the Habs play their game, that and the Bell Centre will shut them down. Can't wait til gametime! GO HABS GO!!! The Iron Lung
If Carolina can't figure out how to get their goalies heads into the game, this will be a short series. I do expect Carolina to win one of these two games however. Regardless, Go Habs Go!
kaos
Ahhh the pivotal game three of the series. Generally considered the critical game of the series. The Habbers can pretty much put Carolina to bed tonight. Montreal will have a huge advantage with the crowd tonight. The Bell will be rocking. Montreal must take special care not to allow Carolina to take the crowd out with an early goal. A few early hits and a few shots on goal will whip this crowd to a frenzy....I'm getting chills just thinking about it now.....

HipHipHuet
I am going to try to act like Gainey in the locker room before the game Its important to keep our head cool guys, tonight the crowd will be insane but it must not get to our head. You can be sure it is in Laviolette's game plan to try and draw penalties...lets keep doing what we did during game 1 and 2! Do not give them an inch in the neutral zone! Do not give them the blue line keep it along the boards! *whispers in Huet's ear* Hey Huet, can you pull one of those godlike performance tonight? mathieu30
"It's a great feeling to win two on the road. Now, we're coming up to play two in front of our fans but we have to make sure we don't get too excited. That's what hurts most. You come back, you have two games in hand, you try to show off in front of your fans and that's when you start making mistakes. We have to play like we played on the road and everything will be fine." -Alex Kovalev Déjà vu? Go Habs go! Spider-Man NL
http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=5001 Canadiens - Hurricanes: Game 3 Preview Canadiens lead best-of-seven series 2-0 MONTREAL – It’s been said all along that the playoffs are a whole new season. After winning the first two games in their best-of-seven series with Carolina, the Canadiens have proven just that, having dropped all four meetings with the Hurricanes this season. Monday, Michael Ryder was the hero in double overtime when he scored his second goal of the game for a 6-5 win and a 2-0 series lead as the focus shifted to the Bell Centre. Alex Kovalev kept up his strong play, adding another two points to bring his total to five, placing him fourth in the league, just two behind Ottawa’s Jason Spezza. For a second straight outing, Cristobal Huet hit the 40-save mark, stopping 41 of 46 shots by the Hurricanes, who lost their second straight for just the second time all season. Heavy lifting: The Canadiens took a 2-0 series lead for the 54th time in club history and the first time since the 1996 playoffs, when they won the first two games at Madison Square Garden. Until now, Montreal is 50-3 with the two-game lead. The Hurricanes/Whalers haven’t been among the select few to beat the Canadiens in such circumstances, as the Habs have won all four series against their former Adams Division rivals when they’ve won the first two matchups. Working overtime: Monday night’s thrilling win in Carolina marked the Canadiens 21st playoff game that required more than one overtime period. Ryder’s third career NHL playoff goal improved Montreal’s record in marathon postseason games to 12-9. The Canadiens last double OT victory came exactly nine years to the day dating back to Patrice Brisebois’ triple overtime winner in a 4-3 victory over the Martin Brodeur and the Devils on April 24, 1997. The Hurricanes are now 0-4 in multiple overtime games all-time with two of those crushing defeats coming courtesy of the Canadiens. MONTREAL - Playoff action hits the Bell Centre tonight, as the Canadiens will step on to the ice tonight in front of their fans with a 2-0 series lead, looking to push the Hurricanes to the brink of elimination. gohabsgo252006
Here we go boys only 4 hours till gametime and I am pumped. Sourray is back. I've got to give some credit here to Dandenault, I was hard on him early in the year but since the Olympic break he has been fantastic. Having Bouillon back is great, he's solid as a rock. We're going to need to come out and stay cool early, the crowd will be going crazy and the first goal in this one will be key. Saku will step it up tonight, he needs to be the Captain with a Saku like performance tonight. Go Saku Go Go Huet Go Go Habs GO WOOOOOOOOO
