Pierre the Great
Good grief, guys, take some deep breaths, close your eyes and relax. You sound like conspiracy theorists. :king: :hlogo: :king: Couldn't help myself. Its like whose the bigger idiot Bettman or Selig when it comes to commissioners. BTH
Another bad call in the game yesterday. Peca walked into the Detroit zone and was obviously tripped. No call. The wings go on the counter attack and score. They scored again later to get within 1 goal but they still ended up losing. The point is that Edmonton got burnt on another bad call. Pierre the Great
Its looking more and more like a Canadian Stanley Cup final between Calgary or Edmonton vs. The Senators.
sakiqc
Detroit out! Wow that's huge! I had Detroit to the Finals vs Ottawa. Now well, Detroit and Dallas are out.. incredible. We didn't know where the upsets would come. Everything can happen in hockey. It's the most exciting and best team sport on earth!! Yeah a Calgary - Edmonton matchup would be great. ch_nl
This is interesting. Detroit didn't have a goalie that could steal a game or two and at the same time it seems like the Oilers got the right players on the trading deadline.
The Iron Lung
This wasn't hard to predict. The Detroit Red Wings had the easiest schedule in the league this year and their point total was grossly inflated. They played 24 games versus St. Louis, Columbus, and Chicago. How's that for a lot of easy points against bad teams. Good team... but not great... as Edmonton just showed. Edmonton, on the other hand, had a tough schedule against many tough division opponents. Prime Minister Koivu
There seems to be some real upsets going on this year. I hope this is a trend the Habs can continue!
CerebusClone
Another disappointing playoff perfromance from Pavel Datsyuk (I'll keep Koivu over him anytime). A career backup goalie as their number 1. Overall, just not a team built for the playoffs. However, you have to give Edmonton a lot credit. They weren't afraid to pull huge trades, and Chris Pronger sure was a monster for them. Roloson was great. Peca provides some leadership, although he's not very productive. Getting Spacek was another great move. They weren't afraid to give the kids their chance. This is great for Edmonton, and for hockey in Canada.
jetsniper
Now I hope Calgary can pull it out. I love getting to screw with the scumbags to the north.
