Commandant
yes, they say defense can be taught and he no doubt has top offensive skills, but i also wonder if he can do the opposite of Markov (who used to be a forward) and become a forward instead? I know would be odd, but that is where he was yesterday and the Habs already have lots of offensive d-men, not of his calibre but, he can handle the puck great and skate very well. I think Beaulieu's future still lies as a top 4 Dman, who will be the left hander beside the righty Subban on the PP. While its true we have a lot of D in the system most are righties, with only Bennett, Tinordi and Beaulieu on the left.

I dont disagree and most likely will be top 4 d-man and a damn good one, but just will need to pair with a solid defensive d-man is all. Funny that have "too many" righties, being that southpaws are much lower % of players. Hope Beaulieu's face has healed a bit, didnt look good, i thought a broken jaw at first. Cant wait till, Gallagher, Bournival, Ellis, Beaulieu, Pateryn, Kristo, Tinordi all turn pro next year (most likely)

Commandant
On the US and Tinordi. The team obviously had a very disappointing performance in this tourney, but I have to say in watching their games that Tinordi was their best player. DON
Anyone know where Pribyl was? I didnt see him play in last couple games, was he scratched, nailed to the bench or injured?
dlbalr
Anyone know where Pribyl was? I didnt see him play in last couple games, was he scratched, nailed to the bench or injured? He clearly hasn't been 100% in this tournament but they added him anyway. He was listed with the 4th line last night where I suspect he saw very limited time. Commandant
Anyone know where Pribyl was? I didnt see him play in last couple games, was he scratched, nailed to the bench or injured? They basically used him PP only. His leg is clearly injured.
Trizzak
Gallagher had a goal and 2 assists in the losing effort tonight. It was probably the most exciting 3rd period I've ever seen.
BCHabnut
What a heartbreaking loss. How did Gallagher not get canadian player of the game? His tenacity and nose for the net was stellar.

BCHabnut
Gallagher and Dougie Hamilton had way better games than Schwartz
Commandant
What a heartbreaking loss. How did Gallagher not get canadian player of the game? His tenacity and nose for the net was stellar. Gallagher won in a previous game. Some teams, such as Canada, won't pick the same player twice Player of the game is picked by team administration. Commandant
Jarred Tinordi was named as one of Team USA's three best players of the tournament after 2-1 win vs Switzerland. Each team names a 3 stars for their own team, and he was one.

Commandant
Gallagher is always in the crease. Always.
dlbalr
Quite often Gallagher is upside down in the crease as well, he sure can take a beating. I've put the final stats in (including today's 4-0 Canada win) the StatTracker, you can see the final stats and other player notes in there. http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2680 I will be posting some tournament grades for each prospect later on (hoping to get to that tonight actually). Dalhabs
So happy right now but the swedes need to learn some more about shooting, not many of those shots were that dangerous.
Commandant
Zibanejad pulled a Crosby. Here's a guy whose tournament was generally disappointing, but he came up gigantic in the Gold Medal Game in OT and went from zero to hero in the amount of time it took him to skate from the blue line to the net. Much like Sid who did nothing in 2010 until that big goal. Funny how quickly you can rewrite history in this sport.
