  1. Happy that they're both in (according to that radio station).
  2. I am happy about that! Sure with Grabovski we lose size, but we gain speed and skill, and that's how we went 8-0 against the B's this year.
  3. So over here you own little girls? You disgust me.
  4. All the more shameful for them when they're schooled by a little girl.
  5. He should definitely make a lineup change. There should have been a change after our poor effort in game two, despite the fact we won. Plus, we would have gotten some fresh legs for the second game in consecutive nights. O'Byrne should be in for sure, for the obvious reasons. I wouldn't mind seeing Grabovski, even though I doubt we'll see him, and despite his overall lack of strength. He's just another player who can beat the Bruins with skill, instead of playing their own physical game.
  6. I agree. He hasn't been very good this series, but he hasn't been terrible. Still does solid work in all three zones. Kovalev is more to blame for our anemic powerplay than Plex (or the whole team's reliance on Kovalev). How many times did we just give Kovy the puck along the boards and hope he pulls some magic? It'll take more than that in the playoffs. I like what this comment shows about Plex. He's brutally honest with himself, and not afraid to admit shortcomings to others. Plus it made me laugh when I first heard it.
  7. I agree with both of these sentiments. I'm not worried yet about one loss, and it's something that had to happen, so better for it to happen when we're up 2-0 and not playing our best. We bring the A game, and the Bruins won't be able to keep up. :hlogo:
  8. Yeah, I laughed at that when I saw the replay. He dove in front of his own player who pushed him further out of position, and ended up face down. But as for your similarities, I know you don't believe these series to be mirror images of each other. Carolina was one of the top teams in the league, that had had our number all year. Now that's us relative to the B's. We outplayed the Canes in game 3 of the series, but then lost on a terrible goal. This time, we've been outplayed twice but managed to split those games. So last series, we controlled the first three games, but lost one of them. This time, we were outplayed for most of the series, but only lost once. We didn't give our best showing last night only to leave with a loss, which was the case against Carolina. And then there's the mental strength that this team has shown all season, plus Price's own immutability, compared with that past team's mental toughness, and Huet's shakiness.
  9. Yeah, but even with the Bruins taking their game to us, both games went to overtime and we won one of them. Hell, with the way OT went yesterday, we should have won, but Thomas stood on his head. It IS just a single setback at this point, represented by the '1' in 'the Habs lead the series 2-1'. You sounded a lot more panicky in that first post than you do here. Anyways, I agree with Wamsley that in the end Thomas will be outplayed by Price. He's going to make a costly mistake that will break their back.
  10. Milan Lucic is someone who we're going to hate playing against for a long time.
  11. Whoa, you need some relaxation pills there, bud. Sergei has scored two goals already this series, and you'll bench him for one bad play? Lats has been playing with intensity, and like someone pointed out, he hasn't cost us this series. Him and Lapierre work hard, the latter who I think has been one of our best guys this series. Dandenault hasn't done much either way in my view, so I wouldn't have a problem with him sitting, but on the other hand it's good to have that experience in the lineup. I guess it's to be expected that some people here will panic after a single setback, considering the comments after each loss this season.
  12. We're missing Koivu, especially on the powerplay. If he was back, we'd be seeing some different looks as the first line is getting nothing done. Like Koivu, Kovalev, Higgins or something. Brisebois is sort of wearing out his welcome in my opinion. He rarely wins battles. Would definitely rather have O'Byrne in there.
  13. I also like how the French announcers say 'Gorges'.
  14. Yeah, it's better to lose a game or two than get the sweep. I think we'll come back with a bigger effort next game, and hopefully we'll see O'Byrne back in the lineup. We deserved this game more than the last one, but Thomas made some huge saves. The final penalty call was weak, but there were questionable calls all game going both ways, especially against Boston. Our top line has been bad this series, and Streit had another terrible game. Put him back at forward. Markov was weak again as well.
  15. The idea is a good one but it wasn't executed well. Look how slowly he moved the puck to his backhand, it barely looked intentional, more like he bobbled it and took the best opportunity at the 5-hole.
  16. I hope the Bruins are totally broken after last night's comeback and loss, and that this is a good ole Habs shellacking of the B's.
  17. Yeah, people need to lay off the Stewart crack pipe. (don't mind me, I just have a thing for crack pipe analogies) We have a bunch of healthy guys who are better than him who aren't seeing the ice. If we're going to replace Dandy, put O'Byrne on the back and move Streit up. Or get Grabovski back in.
  18. I watched the replay again, and it was weak. His move wasn't quick, he slid the puck to his backhand really slowly, and then just shoveled it toward Thomas. It looked like he bobbled it a bit.
  19. Yeah, that was pathetic on his part after the game. It was a follow-through, as Ron pointed out.
  20. Kovalev played much better than on Thursday, unfortunately he made that stupid mistake. But the goal atones for it. Smolinski was also much better all around, but he couldn't win the big face off. Markov and Streit both had weak games, and that was a part of the reason why our powerplay stunk. Also, Kovalev would just stand with the puck over in that same spot, and it was never working. He should have been moving around, that's when he's the most dangerous, like on the lil #### goal. And of course he scored from the other side in OT. Brisebois was not as good as last game, I think it's time to see O'Byrne. Or at least move Streit up to forward or something to fit him in. On that breakaway do you guys feel that big #### must have been nervous or something? Maybe the puck bounced on him; either way it was a pretty weak effort. Then Kovy misses his and takes that penalty. The refs ignored several Bruins penalties, I guess that sort of makes up for game one where we benefitted from a few iffy calls. Hopefully our powerplay can get into gear for next game, and close these Bruins out. I think they'll be broken by this loss, and we might lay a thrashing on them tomorrow. And finally, did anyone see Cherry after the game bitching about the final tripping penalty against the B's? Plus he was saying that there should have been a high-stick call on Markov, even though it was clearly a follow through as Ron pointed out. What a joke that man is.
  21. Yeah, I'm a little worried about that, hopefully it isn't an issue. This game is all the more important with another one the following night, so what happens here has all the more chance of carrying over.
  22. Minnesota and New Jersey both got shafted by bad calls against them at the end of the third period. It didn't cost Minny, though. The Philly-Washington game was really exciting, neither team has much defense to speak of. And both goalies can get rattled. Poor Thoresen, he might need to have his testicle removed from that shot, imagine the pain he was in... I like the Capitals more than the Flyers, but what sucks is if they win and all the other series continue as they have started, we'll play the Rangers in the second round and the Pens will get the Caps.
