zumpano21
Souray's going to the All-Star game and will undoubtedtly be chosen for the fastest shot competition. What do you think he'll register on the radar? I'm going with 103.

Fanpuck33
December 2006. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slapshot Looked it up in the news to verify, and yeah, that's what the papers said. But can we really trust a Leaf radar gun?

habs_25th
What was Al MacInnis' shot clocked at? Curious, because I always thought he had the hardest shot. Living in the past, I know.
sbhatt
I think that Al Iafrate had the hardest shot before Kilger's recent blast...not Al MacInnis. Iafrate had 105.2 at All Star Skills comp. Edited January 10, 2007 by sbhatt
sbhatt
Oh, doing a lil research...some guy named Shawn Heins shot 106mph during the San Jose Sharks minor league team's skills comp a few years back.

alexstream
------------------ Thing with McInnis is that he'd win the hardest slapshot year in year out at the All Star game... but Iafrate wasn't always there... Same this year, Souray might win (I'd bet on a guy like Kovalchuk or Ovechkin though), but Kilger is out of that competition, staying at home with his 106mph slapper
Fanpuck33
I'd love for the skills competition to be open to all players. Every team could hold their own skill competition, as many teams do for their fans, and that could be used as qualifying for certain events. Fastest skater, hardest shot, etc. Stuff like the breakaway relay could be the regular All-Stars and such. I'd love to see a guy like Jason Chimera in the skills competition for fastest skater, the man can fly.
