Cataclaw
Heh, looks like Souray is punching that Caps player in the second photo. Another huge game. With a win here and the rest of the games in the conference that go our way, we could finally claim the 8th position! I hope Carbo`s dressing room message is the same as the one he had when this 5 of 6 winning streak started: Game plan 1. Work hard 2. Work harder GO HABS GO
MAK
Hey spidey. I think you can switch Kovalev and kostitsyn with higgins and plekanec. the way they played together yesterday, it's pretty safe to say they'll stay on the same line. by the way, thanks for doing these threads, highly appreciated !! it'll be a closer game than most people think but we'll prevail. habs_in_the_blood
Glad to see the Sabres showed up tonight They are being out shot 24-9 and are losing 2-1 to the Laffs yeah its sickening, although the habs hold there own fate as for the rest of the season, still a little help never hurt at least the caps don't have Habs killer Zednik in the line up...lol

Nesquik
Aie... I don,t understand the whos hot and whos not list... I think this one's pretty messed up, Koivu was on the whos not last game and now with only 2 assists got him on whos hot, and Lats hasn't scored only last game and he's already on the who's not... kost46
This is a bad team were playing but they have two great goal scorers. Ovechkin with 43 (3rd in the league) Semin with 37 (top 15 in the league I think) Shut those two down and the rest of the team is CRAP. gelu88
Watched the sabres game tonight... baffalo scares me Hope they tire themselves out when they beat the Islanders next week if Jaro brings his game, we should be fine for tomorrow, the caps top line is explosive, its too bad the russians don't have complementary team mates, or else they would be much higher in the standings. :hlogo:

It's according to point streaks. So if someone has like 5 points over their last 5 games, they're considered hot. So in Saku's case, he might have gotten a point in one game, none the next, and then two. That adds up to three points in three games, thus he's "hot." They are giving Saku a 15 game hot streak albeit being held pointless and -5 for a five game stretch in the middle of the supposed streak. That being said, even though I think he's dragged a bit recently, the man has 5 pts in his last 5 games. Certainly a legitimate reason to call him "hot." simonus
the computer seems to generally consider hotness by producing at > than .5 PPG. Look at Lats' last 5 games (team, G,A,P,+-) Bos 0,0,0,-2 Bos 1,0,1,1 Tor 0,0,0,0 Pit 0,0,0,0 NYI 2,0,2,1 Lets say you are the computer crawling backwards and lets say the algorithm is (totally horrid pseudocode): if (More than 1pt during run of games calc'ed AND more than .5 PPG AND must crawl more than 1 game) then hot if (Less than .5 PPG AND More Than 2 Games) then cold * first game: 0pts = could be hot or cold, have to check more than one game second game: 1 pt = .5 PPG, only 2 games, could go either way third game: 0 pt = sub .5 PPG, more than 2 games, looks cold LETS SAY IT CHECKS ONE MORE JUST FOR SAFETY 4th game back: 0 pts, .25 PPG over 4 games, definitely cold so it doesn't crawl one more and find that he has 3 pts over 5 games, .66 PPG, but you can't crawl forever, or it isnt measuring streaks and 1 pt in 4 games aint great... * 2 games so that it wont get screwed by scoring every other game
JMMR
I will be at this game with my (cousin)! My fourth Habs Caps game of the season and I still have yet to see Ovechkin score. My Wishes 1. Habs win 2. Ovechkin has some sweet scoring chances but is robbed by Jaro.

johnnyhasbeen
Ovechkin scores, while down by 4 goals and celebrates like he just won the cup. What a putz this guy is. Great player, but real moron when it comes to realizing that being down 4 and scoring one doesn't desearve a major celebration. Watch him after he scores, it is comical to say the least.
