lazy26
I'm sure Locke is there as a precaution if Saku is too sick to play. I just hope that the Rags are tired from scoring so many goals last night. GO HABS GO!!!
BCHabnut
Well if Koivu is out, I guess you would have to make the Plex line the #1 line.

BTH
Any chance of Valentenko being called up? Haven't heard enough about him this season ... seems he needs some seasoning! Time to get Emelyn to break his contract me thinks I wonder if we will see Lahti sometime. They won't call anyone up just yet as Streit can move back to defence and that allows us to use Chipchura up front. Locke has been called up (RDS.ca). Or not. I guess Koivu is finally going to sit a game out with the flu. Apparently, he was a gametime decision on Friday. I doubt Carbo will use a first line of Latendresse-Locke-Kostitsyn line (it's just too young and inexperienced). So I think he may bump everyone up the depth chart: Higgins-Plekanec-Kostitsyn Kostitsyn-Lapierre-Kovalev Latendresse-Chipchura-Ryder Kostopoulos-Locke-Dandenault Ouch, compare that to the star-studded (although offensively struggling) lineup of the Rangers. Habitforming
All he has to do is give two weeks notice.... That rule changes January 1st. He'd better hurry.
Habsfan84
What a wierd game thread. Never have i've seen this on Habsworld. Anyways Go Habs Go. I'm thinking Ryder will have a good game and I feel he will score an important goal for the Habs.

Neech
Bah, I'll probably miss this game. And it doesn't look like there's any Canadien Express on tonight or tomorrow for some reason. JUST TO SCREW ME OVER.
sbhatt
I wonder if we will see Lahti sometime. He's got 10 points in 26 AHL games....I sure as hell hope we don't see him anytime soon.

Cataclaw
Good start to the 1st, nice wind up by Kovalev, nearly punched through, and Chips couldn't get the loose puck... was tripped but refs didn't see it.
JMMR
Kovalev is wearing the C.

lazy26
what are the lines looking like?
Habsfan84
Kovalev is wearing the C. What. I guess they need someone to assume that roll. I guess he does fit the roll most out of all the Habs.
Cataclaw
Higgins seems to be double-shifting, Locke can't play, his equipment didn't catch up with him or something, so the bench is a little short tonight. Line changes are lightning fast tonight.. FARK 1-0 Rangers, Girardi scores from the point Edited December 31, 2007 by Cataclaw
Habsfan84
So Locke is not going to play the entire Game.
