brobin
Looking forward to seeing Cole and Yemelin... I suspect Cole will be coasting a bit as a vet in the pre-games, but Yemelin needs to work off the gut, so he should be out to show what he can do. Prime Minister Koivu
I can't wait to see some hockey again. I want Yemelin to lay some serious body and I'm interested to see Tinordi play.

That's all I have for now. Puck drop: 7:30 PM EST TV: RDS Radio: Team 990 98.5 fm (French) I think you are pretty close. I am wondering how well Diaz speaks Eng/French ? JoeLassister
RDS.ca have this : Cammalleri-Plekanec-Cole Palishaj-Willsie-Kostitsyn Berger-Schultz-Massé Engqvist-Trotter-Blunden Woywitka-Yemelin Gill-Tinordi Diaz-Weber Personaly, I don't see why they would play Trotter on a 4th line while Willsie would get some quality minutes out there. Makes no sense. *and yes, they have Palishaj
saskhab
Well, I'm pretty sure the Masse line is the 4th line. Engqvist is probably the centre. Engqvist, Trotter, Blunden, Palushaj and Willsie are all battling for one of the final forward spots (possibly two spots up for grabs, likely only one). I think Martin might want to see how Trotter handles less talented linemates in a non-offensive role.

I believe Willsie and Blunden could be in at 22. I believe the other three will have to knock somebody out that is currently is on the roster to gain a spot. I have my doubts if they ever would go with a 23 man roster, if they did I would expect an 8th defenseman which would likely be Diaz or Woywitka. dlbalr
That Palushaj-Willsie-Kostitsyn line could be interesting considering none of them can take a faceoff. I have to think that's going to change at some point.

dlbalr
Gill-Tinordi: that's a tall combination! Looking forward to see Yemelin in action. We probably won't see that too often tonight. I only guessed on the lines, the combos weren't available when I posted the GDT last night. Frankly, I like my forward lines better than the ones we're apparently going with. Speaking of lines, here's an approximation of what Dallas is going with. They're carrying a few extras on this road trip so there could be a couple of wrong people. Morrow - Ribeiro - Ryder Petersen - Wandell - Vincour Barch - Dowell - Sawada Wathier - Morin - Fraser Goligoski - Larsen Grossman - Pardy Dillon - Fortunus Raycroft Beskorowany Not a bad lineup for a preseason game, really. 11/12 forwards saw NHL time last season. brobin
This game doesn't matter. The Leaf's won their opening exhibition game against Ottawa and the parade route is already planned.

Natural Mystic
Yeah Trotter looks sweet out there. The team should calm down now, and have a better 2nd.
dlbalr
Trotter looks good with the puck but defensively, he has been out of position several times already. That's the scouting report on him though, good offensively but not so much in his own zone. I've been impressed with Diaz defensively, he's made some good reads in his own end, some great passes and is mobile as expected. Skimming through the NHL site, I don't see the full stats as they generally have during the preseason, boo.
BCHabnut
Agree on Diaz. He looks very poised. Blunden also stood out in the offensive zone
dlbalr
Blunden had one bad giveaway in his own end (blind backhand after he took away the puck) but other than that has looked good.
