Habs vs Flames: Who gets injured tonight?

24 yr old Joel Hanley makes his NHL debut. Andrighetto is out due to injury, so De La Rose draws back in.

Over 30 million dollars worth of players are sitting out tonight for Montreal, which means Andrei Markov is currently the teams #1 defenseman... a sentence than was fine to say 5 years ago, but now is sad.

For those that decide to watch this game, more power to you. For those that want to skip it, I suggest you all get together and hunt down the witch/voodoo priest that cursed this team back in November.

Lines are:

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk

Eller - Plekanec

Danault - McCarron

De La Rose - Matteau

RWs don't matter tonight.

And every time I try to write out the defensive pairing I either twitch or sob uncontrollably....

Enjoy the game everyone!

It is White Russian day here in BC, in honour of Saint Lebowski.

So win lose, not a big deal..it will be a good Sunday.

Go Habs Go!

(and thumbs up to the GDT)

Nice game thread.

Is it sad that the only thing about this game that I looked forward to seeing was how Backstrom did in his first game back after so long? Hope he does well.

5:31 each for McCarron & Galchenyuk, the old Russian with 9:05 seems dumb amount, but must want to win at home I suppose.

Lessio 5:35, also good run for him.

If the goal is to drop a few spots in the standings between now and the end of the season, the execution of the plan has been brilliant last night and tonight.

And then there are those of us who flew to Boston and then drove up to Montreal for the game... At least the weekend was fun!

Where the ###### is Pacioretty. I'm so tired of this team. Why do I watch them.

He's been an absolute bum more often than not for months now...no pride and as low a compete level as you're going to see out of a professional athlete. Plekanec is right there with him most nights. Both mailing it in for awhile now.

All those who were loudly complaining last week about Galchenyuk playing more in these exhibition games, arnt complimenting coach on playing him lots now...what gives?

Where did you guys go in Boston? The city city?

This trip Boston was pretty much just a brief layover. I have a buddy who lives there, so he just picked me up Friday at the airport to spend sll weekend in Montreal. Then we both flew out (he didn't even have time to stop home before a business trip) as soon as we got back to Boston this afternoon.

Not always MoLG, but what exactly "should be" done is a lot subjective. And seems only the negative stuff sticks and you never hear from the cynics "well good to see them finally play Galchenyuk 20 minutes" and that is simply one example. Zero concession that Therrien isn't much worse than any other coach and simply is the 15th Habscoach in a row to be roasted on a nighty basis and claimed to be a total idiot.

YAY! Our coach finally gave the best player on this roster top line minutes. Man Therrien is smart guy. I wish I would have thought of playing Galchenyuk more. What a genius
