shortcat1
At a Canadiens golf tournament, it was reported that Carbonneau divulged his line-up. Goaltending there's no # 1 - the boys will have to 'fight' over it. Defense 1/2 - Rivet & Markov (against the opposition's best lines) 3/4 - Souray & Komisarek (a bang & shake duo) 5/6 - Streit & Dandenault 7 - Jean-Philippe Côté Forwards 1 - Ryder, Koivu, Higgins 2 - Samsonov, Ribeiro, Kovalev 3 - Perezhogin, Plekanec & Johnson 4 - Bégin, Bonk & Murray (or Downey) I don't see any graduates in this line-up. Hmmmmmmmmmmm............. :king: :hlogo: :king: Edited September 6, 2006 by shortcat1
InsaneHABSfan
Very interesting. Outside of the number 1 line being set, (it worked very well last year) I would hope guys would be fighting for jobs on the remaining lines....
simonus
is there a link for this? I can't imagine the line-ups are too firm... that being said, I don't see anything glaringly bad there.
Dalhabs
Where is Bouillon?
Fanpuck33
Where is Bouillon? Taking Streit's place on the 3rd pairing once he returns from his injury, which is likely to keep him out for at least the first month of the season. JLP
yes I also hope training camp will provide a chance for young guys to win a place.
Colin
Heading into camp that's exactly what I'd say too. No better way to motivate a rookie than tell him he MUST overcome an incumbent.

House11
well you never know ... someone like chips, latendresse or kotsi could always steal someone's spot ... which would force a trade or waiver action ... because if one of the kids are ready and play better than a vet then you make room for him. koivu-11
I still say trade ryder, so much talents hes a usless 30 Goal scorer lol
huzer
Bah, no lines are set in September. Too many variables before the start of the season.
markierung
bouillon would pair up with sourray to add some speed and make up for Sourray defensive game Komi pairs with Markov as it brings out the best in him dandenault and Rivet make up the third pairing

kaos
I see no suprises there what so ever. I think Kostitsyn will have to beat out Murray and Downey for a spot on the club, but its kinda pointless to have him on the 4th line anyways, so he might as well play in the AHL with Chipchura and Grabovsky
