brobin
I only miss Dags when there is a shoot out. If only you could have a roster spot for a waterboy / shootout specialist.

InsaneHABSfan
The team was exciting last year EXCEPT for all the $*%^%^#*$&$&%^%^$^#& penalties! This year I believe they have improved by balancing the scoring out on two lines, and improved the defence somewhat. Goaltending should be interesting as Huet has the big :contract: and is healthy to start the year. I think goal production increase will be the difference to start the year. October 5 road games 6 home games I say 3-2 on the road and 4-2 at home. Being 7 and 4 to start the year will not be too bad as the team learns to gell. MUST WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AGAINST %*@#$%&%&**%*&@#$%& LEAFS! Edited October 1, 2006 by InsaneAVSfan

Pierre the Great
Hey, Pierre The Great, u said its ur one year anniversary of being a habs fan... just curious as to how u became one!? Short Long story: '04 Election saw the doom and gloom coming Winter of '04 got depression due to the election and the consquences I knew it would cause the world and life kinda fell apart at the same time as well. Spring '05- found a light to my darkness Summer '05- realized that my dreams could become a reality Late Summer- got excited about Hockey coming back Late Summer '05- Blues suck, why root for a winner Late Summer '05- was looking for cities Late Summer '05- discovered my political icon Late Summer '05- found two cities to root for October '05- went to ESPN Boards clicked on Canadiens found a thread that said where did everyone go? Lindenfan who was banned from here gave a link I followed it signed up. October 8, 2005- became a fan Winter '05- left Habsworld needed to get things done in my life Winter '05- started to miss Habsworld and following the Habs Spring '05- went from passing interest to following Summer '05- went from following the team to a fan who can't live without them Thats my story its been a two year odyssey

And yet, some of the so-called "experts" are predicting that the Canadiens won't do any better than last year because we're "too similar to last year's team". I've seen so many predictions saying the Habs will miss the playoffs. I guess none of these clowns have actually been paying attention to the great work that Gainey has been doing. I may be slightly biased but when I look at this year's lineup, I see potientally 6 20-goal scorers on our top two lines. Kind of reminds me of the Buffalo Sabres. Nobody saw them coming, but we all know how that went.... This is definitely the most excited I've been for the start of the regular season in many years. :ghg: :hlogo:
Pierre the Great
the pronosticators don't know hockey. They they spout out there ideas without looking up at the facts. If this is the same team as last year then the first couple of months of the season last year where the team was challenging Ottawa for the top spot was not a fluke. If this is the same team as last year then the first couple of months of the season last year where the team was challenging Ottawa for the top spot was not a fluke. If memory serves me, one of The Stupid Network's experts predicted a last place finish for Carolina. And in their web hockey pool none of them were in the top 100. Thats what you get when you hire X-Leaf or Leaf-Lovin broadcast team it just proves they aint all that smart. Right Unibrow Domi.
