  1. 18000 people and 11 players in that game knew the puck was bouncing into the slot. For some reason samsonov stayed on his line instead of pushing out and grabbing it.
  2. Death Taxes The Leafs losing in the funniest possible way.
  3. This ice is a disgrace. Neither team can string 3 passes together. The plays arent working out (both ways) cause the ice is a disaster. Puck is bouncing like mad.
  4. Fox played an extra year of college. 3 vs 2 for Hutson.
  5. Barring any trades signings..... Savard and Kovacevic are also pure RHD on the depth chart with NHL time. Guhle if playing RD is also ahead of him, and Jordan Harris is in this mix too. He's not defacto anything.... that spot is an open competition and he's the only one of the 5 who didn't spend the full season in the NHL this year.
  6. It won't. Its a 1/3rd buyout if done in June. Ages are all based on July 1st, 2023. This has come up with what is or isn't a 35+ contract. Everyone is the age they are on July 1st (the first day of the league year, so from July 1st 2023 to June 30th 2024, everyone is treated for CBA purposes as the age they are on July 1st, 2023). Everyone will go up one year on July 1st 2024. The issue is its a 2/3rd buyout if done in the second buyout window (which will open if the Kings have any of their RFAs file for arbitration).
  7. Thats pretty normal.... that he'd play SHL instead of AHL for one year.
  8. The Leafs have been down 3-1 to the Bruins before and forced game 7 and lost in 7. In fact the Leafs and losing game 7 is more of a thing than the Bruins losing series is.
  9. Rogers owns something like 40% of the leafs (and Bell owns the same percentage). Why are people surprised that the Sportsnet and TSN panels are always biased in favour of the leafs. Do you think that the talking heads are going to criticize their bosses' prize asset?
  10. puck is in the net... you can see it in the glove jn the net
  11. I think Dvorak is near impossible to.trade without a sweetner. I also agree that Beck and Kapanen likely need another year (though they could surprise in camp) So to me its Dvorak, Evans and Gignac in a camp battle for the 3rd and 4th line spots with the betting favourite being Evans on 3 and Dvorak on 4. Yes. Wingers for those lines being a competition of Roy, Gallagher, Anderson, Armia, Harvey-Pinard and Pezzetta. Unless someone is traded. The sheer numbers here suggest there is room to add one forward. So Im looking for a winger whi is considered a first liner on most NHL teams. To make that 1a/1b dynamic. Of course, a lottery win changes things and means im putting Celebrini on that second line as a winger to start and looking for him to be a centre by 2025-26. Without that, im looking at a trade for the gamebreaker i want.
  12. Thats all true but how has HuGO moved away from that player. They clearly love Guhle and xhekaj, and drafted Reinbacher with a premium pick.
  13. I think the high danger chances will come down slowly as the defence core matures. To me the key is a gamebreaker on the second line. We need to find an elite level talent to play with dach/newhook so our lines become 1a/1b (and thats keeping the top line together). This makes the third and fourth lines stronger too. Imagine josh roy and armia/gallagher on the third line instead of the second like they finished the year. Strengthening all the forwards leads to more possession and lowers chances against too.
