  1. I prefer him on the line up with 4th line duties and PK specialist than let's say D'agostini who has no ability on forechecking and defense. I like D'Agostini, but not a 4th line role. Stewart for me his done with the addition of Moen. Same role but Moen gives it every night. My fourth line is Moen-Metropolit-Chipchura. No Big Georges he is still hurt, will miss the camp all over again. Moen can play a 3 third line guy but i really wish Paccioretti brings it out at the camp and play with Lapierre and Latendresse then it would be our 2b line.
  2. Dunno, it was more for leadership and a reassuring presence on and off the ice. Weber and PK can have one year with Guy Boucher in the AHL, it will not hurt them. If needed, injuries and stuff they are call ups and if they keep going they are NHL'ers. And i would not trade any prospects anymore. We will need cheap players in the coming years.
  3. No Bob is not an idiot, On the forum i heard many say Bob is a genius, the bob is in session. It's always like this, a prospects-player-coach-manager in Montreal are over rated, a good streak they are up to superstar level, a bad streak they are garbage. If we have to learn something from all that is that Bob is human he takes good and bad decisions.
  4. My mood would change if something was made to bring in positive veteran leadership. You know old vets like Zubov, right D, Lang right handed centre, or Shanahan winger. Zubov to have someone who actually can pass the puck on Markov stick. 5-5 and lead PP second wave. Lang to stay around the net and create opportunitues on a second power play wave, if a centre hurts Lang would be there. Slowly but there. Shanahan for the character, i could have add Chelios oyeah is a right D why not ?
  5. They have a lot of defense but not a lot of lefties. Beauchemin paired with Schenn i think are able to get the puck out of the zone. Now Burke can trade Kaberle for a forward. They still have Finger, Komisarek, Van Ryn. Exelby and White. Laugh all you can but the Leafs are rebuilding from the defense. Our small forwards will be roughed up. And now they have the swedish monster in net with Giguère to coach him. I don't like them but their rebuilding plan is on the way.
  6. Andrei Kostitsyn is not small forward....Why would he be sentenced again to play with Plekanek ? That would be a good reason to start the booze again. All the same problem is there are two number 3 centers. This is why i still hope for Koivu, no wingers will complain playing with him. Cammelleri was not brought in at 5 million to play with a centre with white skates and pink laces.
  7. Behind Gomez there is nothing else. Plekanek agent saw it and they think that he has a value for this team that deserves more money. Personnaly i don't think Plekanek deserves a penny more after the season he had. I think that Maxwell could post similar numbers in two years if he was awarded the same power play and ice time. But he has not proven that. It's a hope that he will do this at the camp. So let's say the Habs walk off on any settlement with Plekanek and sign Koivu for similar money... It's not like the habs would lose much and they would not have to wait for him.
  8. Fischer is a possibility here. He does not dominate at University level but at least one year at the pro level. Mcdonagh shipped out, now Fisher has to go up in the prospect chart. I would trust Guy Boucher to make a pro out of him in two years.
  9. Kovy waited too long making himself pleased did not help this time. Thanks for the great highlights goals. Good luck on your next team let it be a contender go to Pittsburg and enjoy a last cup.
  10. Gionta just made my day. I don't care if they push around our small players we still have Big Georges. We now have a good idea of what our line up will be. And it's a good one.
  11. My question is to Bob is why 2 left D when you already have 3 under contract ? They have replace by similar players some player that had another role. For Gomez and Cammelleri combo. The price is high, they are not superstars but it is a definate upgrade on talent and it will be on results.
  12. Gomez made Gionata score 50+ goals. not a bad idea to takl with him. Yeah is small but he never let go.
  13. Ok upgrade over Schneider offense/defense, upgrade over Bouillon too. Good all around defense. , first pass. No problem Bad thing is the lenght of the contract In 3 years he turns 38.
  14. Gomez is able to play two way win face offs and lead power play. Now number 1b centre is...
  15. Having Massé and Dumont adds character to depth chart. Not only should they have skills, a team needs warriors. If Guy Boucher coaches the Dogs next year, he will fist have Massé and later Dumont. Frankly except Leblanc and Dumont i never seen any of these players. But i very much like these two. The only choice i do not like is the Fin it doesn't even sounds good on report.
  16. I would say trade for a better round pick. Even though it's no big surprise that the Habs are desperately in needs of a top centre prospect.
  17. The are some assistants coach that are more friend with the GM than the coach. Jarvis was never chosen by Carbonneau and Martin has said he wants assistant he can trust.
  18. To the man character, i read many of his interviews and he is the type of man who speaks his mind. He is not shy to criticize, sorry i will use some quotes copy pasted Lever has the ability to be a taskmaster and is very blunt. In January 2008 (while coaching in the AHL with Hamilton) he said "(Corey) Locke is nonexistent, D'Agostini is nonexistent, (Janne) Lahti is nonexistent, (Duncan) Milroy is nonexistent and (Eric) Manlow can't play games back to back." This is perhaps an easier thing to do while coaching in the minors (calling out prospects and minor league veterans) but does suggest Lever will use all means available to motivate. This kinda thing i am not putting more meat on it. With Martin on board management will be from inside at every level, very quiet. Besides that don't look away for a replacemement there is assistant- coach signed that will take the job. Probably Jarvis, he's a quiet guy.
  19. Lever deserved a classier dumping. Dumped on the phone... He won the Calder Cup just two years ago. With bottom line pretty much nothing but he understood how to get the best of those players. Last year, injuries at NHL level caused recalls and unstability for the Dogs. Even more he was brought in Montreal to assit Gainey in his coach duties. What killed him was that he speaked the truth when asked to a question. Anyway thanks to the Don, i think he did a great job and will have no problem winning somewhere else.
  20. I was bored so i went to see Eklund delirium. Apparently Bob would trade Komisarek right to the Sens. Yeah even Grabovski find a way to hurt us imagine Komi in the same division. And we are 24 hours away from Lecavalier in Montreal...going to Pierre-Elliot Trudeau airport and go back to south it's so friggin cold here.
  21. Off season Heatley going to Pittsburg. For Staal. ... and good game tonight.
  22. Still a coach job on the air to grab. Not many coach on the loose. I have to give Michel Therrien a vote there to have the job. Or maybe Larry Robinson once again. Unitl he resigns due to personal reasons, living in New-Jersey must be something really depressing.
  23. Serge Savard is disconnected from the new hockey reality, it's a good thing that is group pulled out. He says that he wouldn't be named Presisent or GM but after that he says that he would have name Demers. Demers says that he would have bring Brunet as assistant coach. Taking this team back to 96 would not be any better than taking it back to Houle days. In this reality Jacques Martin is a good choice. In any other parrallel world he's not but here's there no superstar, no D, no supporting cast, no desire.
  24. Just throwing a name here but Dale Hunter deserves to be a candidate there for the coaching job.
