Tony
its' just something the kings do ... they seem to sign players right away rather than waiting. Makes sense.

Athlétique.Canadien
The Coyotes have answered their depth concerns in goal but I doubt their done signing goalies. Aebischer has a new chance. Cheers to him.
smon
Unsurprising - fellow Swiss Martin Gerber is the other main option on the trade market and his long term contract is a big gamble. A duo with Tellqvist might not be a bad idea.
Chips
Aebischer signs contract with Coyotes A one-year contract. I take it more details will follow. Great for Abi; wish him the best or continued play with his game; which should make it easy for others to register two points. Either way he's not a habs goalie, thats good any day in my book. jetsniper
I was wondering if Aebi would get signed, glad he's not staying in Montreal. Now I don't have to see his name get mispronounced all the time, it bugged the crap out of me.

Easy Ryder
Great for Abi; wish him the best or continued play with his game; which should make it easy for others to register two points. Either way he's not a habs goalie, thats good any day in my book. The only way to save this franchise would be to draft John Tavares if he's avalaible next year. Or if he's not available pile up the prospect and go for deadlast pool chance to draft him in 2009. But signing Aebisher is a big step for Maloney to sign a top 5 prospect this year. What have they done other then that in the off season ?? They didn't sign any of there own UFA. They bought Scatchard contract. The only other significant signing is Mike York. Gretzky should hire a coach and not make an embarassment of himself all over again.

cfposi
Don't let the door...well, you know... Actually I liked him early in the season when he carried this team until Huey could get into form. But man, did he ever drop the ball when he was asked to take the #1 full time! Its ok tho, not every goalie can handle Montreal. Lets hope Price and Halak know how to deal with the pressure (long term).

Lets hope Price and Halak know how to deal with the pressure (long term). I hope things go well for him. He's too far away to do any damage to us if he picks up his game.... Notice that all the ex-habs this year are in the western conference? Let's see where Johnny ends up...
The Iron Lung
I liked Aebischer although he was on and off during his time here. The brightest spot may have been receiving his contract in exchange for Theodore's bloated contract. So, in that sense, he helped us immensely! simonus
I've generally heard two different pronunciations of Aebi's name. One with the 'Ae' pronounced like 'ai' in 'Lair', one pronounced like 'A' in 'cad' I was under the impression that the latter is correct Edited July 20, 2007 by simonus
