David B
BREAKING NEWS: Montreal Canadiens agree to terms with restricted free agent Andre Kostitsyn. Sources say it's a three year deal worth $3.25 million per year. Also, Detroit signs goalie Ty Conklin to a one year deal at $750,000. Details to follow. nhfarber
If we locked up AK for 3.25 I'll be very happy. I had hoped for a longer term contract but I'll settle for a reasonably priced contract for a potential superstar.

Huselius to Pittsburgh Miettinen to Buffalo Weight to Islanders Those are the only things with E3 and higher, he appears to be playing it safe. Tucker is supposedly going to sign with someone very soon too. His e2 stuff is things like Spezza being traded to Edmonton.

simonus
I've been noticing a pronounced difference in the speed with which the salary terms of contracts are being disclosed based on team. Is it no longer the policy of all teams to not disclose salaries or are some agents leaking and some aren't or what?

jetsniper
Vancouver has given out the first offer sheet to David Backes. 3 years, 2.5 mil per year. Compensation is a 2nd round pick, St.Louis has a week to match.
Chris
Are there even any starting goaltending positions open any more? Tampa seems to have loaded up, I'm not sure Kolzig is the answer. I think the habs have 14 mill left, Gorges around a 800k-1mill Halak 8oo-900k I am missing one more RFA i'm sure. But they'll have money to make a Rolston or Sundin move
