han_dyl
I don't blame Mara. It was a BS call to begin with. The refs were looking to make up for the 5-3.
Trizzak
Could at this moment have been 2 good points. If you're unhappy with a point from this injury ridden lineup, then there's no hope for you.

KoZed
Daaaaaamn. So close. Price will have to learn the reflex to quickly sweep those short rebounds away from his crease Mac Pac is tantalizing... makes you hope intensely that one day all his flash & dazzle starts to result into goals... Trizzak
The most creative thing Lapierre does in the shootout is with his skating. He changes speed, but does nothing with his hands.
han_dyl
Plex needs to find a new deke Every single time.
KoZed
Backstrom with a perfect shot. We dropped a point, but we got one we perhaps shouldnt even have got. Still. 3 points out of 4 vs the Caps, with our depleted lineup, is quite good. Gotta be proud of how this team plays lately.
brobin
need to come with speed on a shootout.. guys were coming in too slow... I wish pleks would shoot instead of deke...
ForumGhost
Well, shootouts is where the injuries really start to show. During the game, you can certainly rally and create some offense, but in a shootout, if your scorers are not there, then there's not much you can do about it. KoZed
The most creative thing Lapierre does in the shootout is with his skating. He changes speed, but does nothing with his hands. It's an original strategy. I prefer when he starts slow, then accelerates. Usually catches the goalie flat-footed.
Dalhabs
And tomorrow I read on swedish webpages "Bäckström avgör mot montreal" and I get pissed off. Couldnt he have saved that goal for the olympics?
Habsy
Mara's gotta know the refs are looking to influence the outcome, late in the game like that. Stupid penalty.

ForumGhost
What really sucks is how the teams in our division are really make it tough to keep up. Ottawa/Boston turns into a 3 point game and Buffalo wins again.

I'm not saying it isn't something others should try, but it seems Lapierre is all feet and no hands.
KoZed
I'm not saying it isn't something others should try, but it seems Lapierre is all feet and no hands. So? He shoots. He hit the post; and scored about 3 out of 4 before. In shootouts, I'd rather see "no hands" shoot and score then "nice hands" make lame dekes like Plex. As a rule, in shootouts, those who shoot rather than deke, scores.
