Ouch. Think of it as 4 of the most generous. It sounds better that way.
Chris
I'm shocked the other Dmen aren't up there. I guess not enough game time action. I wonder if Martin has read that stat.

dlbalr
I'm shocked the other Dmen aren't up there. I guess not enough game time action. I wonder if Martin has read that stat. It's hard to really look a lot at giveaways as it is a subjective stat - if memory serves me right, there's always several Habs up there in that department, just as in years past the Habs have a lot of guys higher than they should be in the hitting department. Certainly not a good stat though.

Certainly not a good stat though. +1 on this. There is no central guideline for all these stats. Even shots on goal varies widely rink to rink. I would not be surprised at all if the Montreal stat guy judged turnovers more harshly (and hits more generously) than the league average, and possibly be the most "out there" in his judgements from the average. hab29RETIRED
Can anyone tell me why Chara can play an entire PP, while on a 5-3 that Markov and MAB spend theri PP time, basically standing at the blue line and passing back and forth to each other, and still have to go off for a 2nd unit for the remainder of the 5-4 PP??? POOOOUliOOOOOOOOOT!!! FINALLY a goal!!

brobin
Nice setup by Gomez too... he looked at the other habs (Gionta I think) on the far side and then fed the pass right to Pouliot sending him in. That is what they paid Gomez for and he is starting to click. Good line in the making with two shooters, a great play maker, and some tenacious puck control. hab29RETIRED
Nice set-up by Laracque, can't believe I'm typing those words. If I wasn't watching the game, I would have thought you meant Laraque had managed to connect on a left hook or suckered someone into actually fighting
