dlbalr
Possible Kings' lines: King - Kopitar - Brown Smyth - Stoll - Williams Clifford - Handzus - Simmonds Richardson - Lewis - Westgarth Scuderi - Doughty Greene - Johnson Drewiske - Martinez Bernier Quick I also fixed the Habs' jersey to the home one (now I've gotta think of a new way to differentiate our GDT's ). dlbalr
Haha Brian...the jersey thing was brilliant.. I think it'll be even better if we know a team is wearing their 3rd jersey in advance, that site is incredible for having every possible jersey available. Habsfan84
An interesting one tonight. Its one that we don't get to see that often. We will come out firing tonight. Go Habs Go!!!
lazy26
Why the on Clifford, Brian? You know it's not the big red dog, right?
dlbalr
Why the on Clifford, Brian? You know it's not the big red dog, right? He's a 19 year old who was eligible to return to the Barrie Colts, my local OHL team. Barrie is dead last in the league right now, he would have made a huge difference (and been an even bigger trade chip at the deadline). Unfortunately, LA decided he'd be better off playing spot minutes and basically just practicing daily with the Kings.
Habsfan84
Great goal Kostitsyn. I like especially that he stole the puck away.

l.moustakas
Great goal Kostitsyn. I like especially that he stole the puck away. Can anyone say "broken play"? And can someone explain why assists were given on that play?
gelu88
Can anyone say "broken play"? And can someone explain why assists were given on that play? no kings player got control of the puck, it just deflected off them. brobin
I sure hope they play a full 60 minutes tonight.
brobin
nice second goal.. great effort by Gomez.. keeps it in.. starts the play, goes hard to the net... not sure if it hit him, but he deserved an assist on that one.
Habsfan84
Good period for the Habs. Maybe they will come out better for the second period. At least better than last game. At least this lead they earned with hard work unlike last game when they were lucky bounces.
BCHabnut
That was a well played period. Backchecking was great. The guys are working for every puck. Gomez looks great tonight. Eller is slowly showing why Gauthier wanted him so bad. The kid makes better decisions every game. He has great hands and his skating is very smooth. Subaan impresses me at least 4 or 5 times a game. I don't know why people think he's weak defensively.

I don't know why people think he's weak defensively. There was one instance early on where I saw 3 distinct dumb moves by Subban in the defensive zone. But, he will make mistakes; the fact that he makes them leads some to conclude he's weak defensively. Solid period overall, but can someone tell me why Pouliot played all of 2 minutes? The guy had 2 points, was playing well, and is still getting benched. There's no winning with him, there really isn't - even when he produces it's not enough. Wamsley01
Price was interfered with a bit, but not enough that they are going to call it. They should call that. Smyth hooked the inside of his pad which didn't allow him to push off. Either way, we got it back.
