Neech
What kind of defending was that... Mike Johnson points out Desharnais falling asleep and leaving Kronwall all alone. This is why Desharnais isn't a top 6 forward on a contender.
brobin
Sigh... One good shift then a mess in our own end leads to another goal. Notice how other teams get a guy right in the lap of Price and get the wrister on net... How hard is that to figure out.

He isnt a top 9 on a contender because he sure isnt a top 6 and he sure as hell can fill a third line role which is very important
Lovett's Magnatones
At what point does Therien start getting heat? I'd say if they lose against Washington and get embarrassed by the Bruins next Thursday.
Trizzak
At what point does Therien start getting heat? When he was hired?

DON
Murray has to get some credit for that board work Even in losses he makes me chuckle and is entertaining for sure, worth every penny of the $1.5m
dlbalr
At what point does Therien start getting heat? He hasn't already? All in all, that was a disappointing period, in part because the deficit is bigger but also since the Habs have played a lot better tonight. Yes, there's still too many breakdowns but at the offensive end, they're playing with more poise and purpose which is a positive. Unfortunately it hasn't resulted in much yet. Chris
Man these guys are clueless in their own end. Drive the net, score a goal. Amazing. You can blame coaching and Bourque all you want but they have enough natural talent, no size, not enough speed, and there inability to play hard consistently is the problem. brobin
They said on sportsnet today that 5-5 play was a reflection of the talent, not the coaching. I think being 28th in the league 5 on 5 has more to do with the team talent, not the coaching. This team needs to upgrade a few small players for bigger bodies and a few old wrecks for young talent. It won't happen overnight.
habs rule
. This is why Desharnais isn't a top 6 forward on a contender. That's not true, there are many midget teams he would be top 6 at least. Him and the hero of Quebec.
dlbalr
A surprising stat so far: Gallagher has just 7:21 of TOI, only Leblanc and Bournival have less.
DON
A surprising stat so far: Gallagher has just 7:21 of TOI, only Leblanc and Bournival have less. #11 is easily on his way to a 20+ goal season, super for 1st full year.

Lovett's Magnatones
Beaulieu seems a better forward than Bourque does. He's been great. Anyone miss Diaz? (I know the answer for Bouillon).

brobin
Well, PK is looking like the eight D based on his audition tonight. He's been great. Anyone miss Diaz? (I know the answer for Bouillon). I do. Our D hasn't been any better without him and is probably worse clearing.

DON
Well, all the people who wanted to see Tinordi/Pateryn, you are gonna get a chance to see em, by the look of Emelin going off the ice? Tinordi had a nice scrap tonight, so maybe his "truculence" and size may be a good thing?
