Meller93
Danault's goal was an absolute beauty. The question if Danualt can actually be a second line center doesn't seem off with that kind of play
dlbalr
There are some games where a two goal lead headed into the 3rd would be considered safe. Although the Habs were a lot better defensively in the 2nd period, this still doesn't feel too safe for some reason.
JoeLassister
I'm okay with Danault sticking on 2nd line duty when Chucky comes back. Plex falling on 3rd line, similar as Jordan Staal was with the Pens.
Habsfan
Agreed Dlbalr! We need to get that first goal in the 3rd. The one that'll nail the coffin shut!
Habsfan
I love how Weber just took a quick little wrist shot from the point! He didn't waste any time with the big wind-up for the booming slap shot!

Habsfan
Our defensive zone coverage has been awful tonight. Luckily we scored 7!

Habsfan
Well, that was a real barn burner! Not crazy about our defensive game, but with Markov and Pateryn out, we can't expect them to win every game 4-0! We got the two points, now on to Minnesota! Neither can win a battle. Barberio looked very good last year with Pateryn beside him. I don't mind that combo. Barberio-Johnston, or Barberio-Redmond are not good (though Redmond is better than Johnston IMO).
BCHabnut
Ya I can't figure out why Johnston is beating out Redmond lately. Beaulieu and Petry have been on the ice for a pile of goals lately too.

I got a kick out of Johnston's usage at the end of the game. After the Habs got a four goal lead, I think Therrien (rightfully) decided to try to play him a bit more. How did Johnston respond? Gave away the puck leading to a goal allowed on his first shift and then took the unnecessary delay of game penalty on the next one. His next shift lasted long enough for him to get to the bench from the penalty box and he was sat down at the end of the game. If he can't be trusted with a three goal lead with minutes to go, when can he be? Will this be what finally gets him out of the lineup?
