Another afternoon game but those afternoon games have looked pretty good lately.

This team Canada is probably the worse team Canada I've seen.  Not skill wise, they just can't put offense together.  Losing to Latvia and then winning a nail biting game against Germany just makes me dread the beating they will get from USA.

Let’s go Habs. It would be nice to continue the winning streak. The Knights have a solid first two lines and defensive pairings but I like our depth a lot better. Vegas is 15-3-0 at home and outside of recently the Habs’ main struggle was performing on the road. Vegas is on a 6 game win streak but hopefully we can ride our wave a little longer and keep it competitive. 1 goal game and anything can happen.

I'm hoping for a solid game, with the Habs "in the mix" until the end. What the final score will be matters less to me, this is now one of the top teams in the league, and on a hot streak yet.

Xhekaj could have/should have taken Whitecloud, too, no? As usual, a goal is a result of multiple mistakes.

Definitely a combination of Dach and Xhekaj but I place a little more blame on Dach for the offensive zone mishap as well. He did put in the effort to backcheck though, but also caused a little confusion with Xhekaj as he took his position on the ice.

 

The Habs played a decent period overall. Hopefully they can keep it up for the rest of the game. Going to need some offense.

Weird sequence at the end of the period as Evans was hard on the forecheck and then decided to change with 3 seconds left instead of back checking (he looked a little ginger on one leg). Vegas went up the ice and put the puck in the net but thankfully just after the time ran out. Nobody has said anything as it happened right at the end of the period but hopefully Evans is okay. It didn’t look too serious but he also shouldn’t have changed so he must have felt something.
