bbp
Some fun stuff in the stats... Turris leading them in Goals... Diaz leading us in assists/tied for points lead, and Gallagher leading us in +/-.... Who would have called this haha
hab29RETIRED
Looks like wolverine is playing today. UN-FREAKING real! I'd rest him for the full weekend, but according to habsinsideout he us ready to go.
dlbalr
If that is indeed the case, I hope Eller isn't benched after yesterday's performance. Moen looks like he could use a day off (I presume they'll want White back in). Pregame goalie stats: Price is 12-5-2 in his career against Ottawa with a 2.20 GAA and a .925 SV%; Anderson hasn't fared as well (even with his stellar outing on Wednesday), he's 5-5-1 lifetime against the Habs with a 2.90 GAA and a .904 SV%. hab29RETIRED
Frankly, I think Eller and DD looked good together and I'd keep them together for a few games to see if they can continue the chemistry. I'd rather have either Wolverine or Cole babysit Galy Squared. I get the role that Prust plays, but I'd like to see hoe the two kids do with another physical, skilled forward who is also a serious offensive threat. I didn't hate Eller that much yesterday. Was to busy celebrating to notice that he was playing poor hockey.
JoeLassister
WTF?! Okay seriosuly, this guy isn't human. If he does play then he will score AND that will be incredible! If his appendix really didn't burst, then there was no need for a big surgery. I had mine removed before it burst and they went with a Laparoscopic_surgery and the doc said that I must rest for like 3 to 5 days and that I could play hockey right after that. Obviously, I wasn't playing in the NHL though. But when someone on this board posted that his appendix didn't burst, I knew the 4 weeks thing was bullshit. dlbalr
Pacioretty will take the warmup but a decision on him playing or not won't come until after that.

habs rule
Today we need to show our character and exact some revenge on these lowly Senators. We need to crush their will and spirit. I think a nice 5 or 6 to 2 whipping should suffice.
TurdBurglar
If Wolvie is playing, maybe rest Moen and slot Wolvie in on the 4th line to start and if all goes well put Eller between white and Armstrong, then Wolvie in his normal spot. dlbalr
Everyone but Kaberle is in the warmup so we know for sure he's not playing (as if having his lowest TOI in over 9 calendar years wasn't enough evidence...)
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Patches is a freak! But in a good way. Is it just me, though, or is this compressed schedule a bit much? I love hockey, but sheesh, a game every other day seems slightly nutty to me. I've got other stuff to do, man! (E.g., daughter's ringette game). Habsfan
I think this new nickname of Wolverine fits MaxPac really well. This guy is full of surprises. C'mon boys, lets destroy the Hens and make them pay for the humiliating loss on wednesday.
TurdBurglar
Game started out well, with a horseshit call on Pleks.

TurdBurglar
Well it's a decent start to the game. Good tempo. Not like the last game vs the Sens. We're not getting hemmed in our zone and we're pushing back, getting some good chances. Nice adjustment on the PP, Sens were playing tight to the point so we were working it down low to close the box. Something last season we just couldn't/wouldn't do. habscout
Moen's compete level this shift is non-existent. I have to agree. It's been that way since the start of the season. For a 4th liner, he may end up sitting out a game soon if this keeps up.

For a 4th liner, he may end up sitting out a game soon if this keeps up. He may be upset about his downgrade to the 4th line. Look at the bright side, if it comes down to it, Moen would fetch a decent return in a trade. Every team would welcome a cheap, responsible, great veteran defensive winger with a cup under his belt. Canajun
I like our team this year... quite a lot. Good balance, good skill, good speed.. from top to bottom. The last tweak I'd like to see is on the 4th line : Armstrong brings nothing - no toughness, little skill, pas de fierte, manque de chien, rien. I'd like to see Gabriel Dumont in that spot. Dumont would bring more tenacity and offensive upside... someone for Eller to make plays to. Then our lineup would be cemented.
