habs rule
We could use a win, Max to score his 40th, and a decent showing. Not like that last travesty.
bigbigbear
I hope to see progression in their game, win or lose, they have to be prepared for the playoffs. The need to fine-tune certain plays. Special teams need to be ready aganst the BOLTS. Go HABS go
dlbalr
No St. Louis or Girardi for the Rangers. Carcillo and Falk (the latter having been a scratch 41 games in a row) are in, no idea what their lines are now.
Guest Stogey24
Eller is still sick? How does Louis not get the call up?! I know its a fourth line role, but still.
dlbalr
Eller is still sick? He was yesterday. Whether he is today or not is mostly meaningless as they'll quarantine him from the rest of the team anyways, even if he felt 100%.
dlbalr
Stats to follow beyond the Pacioretty 40-goal watch: - Brian Gionta is one point shy of 40. If he gets a point, it will be the 7th time in his career that he reaches that mark. - If he scores a goal, David Desharnais will set a new career high for tallies in a single season. - If Rene Bourque has a positive +/- rating in the game, it will mark the first time since 2009-10 that he's not a minus player. DON
Don't know if this game will be any better than last one. I doubt ticket buyers will get $ worth. Maybe Gallagher will get his 20th, Max get 40th and Price get a shutout; which would be great way to finish off season?

habscout
Good penalty kill for the Habs. Hopefully they build on this and get the first goal tonight.
Lovett's Magnatones
Vanek needs to shoot if he's open in the slot like that. 40th goal or not, that was a prime scoring chance.
Habsfan
Im happy to see that our boys are playing better tonight than they did on Thursday! Vanek needs to shoot if he's open in the slot like that. 40th goal or not, that was a prime scoring chance. Agreed. I get the feeling that the guys are all looking for Max on the ice...it could end up costing some goals!

Jeff Price (no relation)
Looking at this game so far, I don't think they want home ice advantage in the playoffs. Maybe they liked their stay in florida two weeks ago?

Habsfan
I've never seen a team struggle so much to settle down in the offensive zone on the PP, This PP is fvc.king pathetic!
Dalhabs
Stupid rangers commentators was whining that it shouldve been a instigator on Bouillon and no pp.
Jeff Price (no relation)
I was curious about the lack of an instigator call myself. The only justification I can think of why there wasn't one is that the ref knew the original tripping penalty should have been 5 and a game and was making up for it. But then...all penalties were handed out at the same time, so I can't see why he wouldn't just change the original penalty. No feeling needed, they have been passing on scoring chances for past 2 games, trying to get him his 40th. This game wont be much different. I was curious about the lack of an instigator call myself.
