Spider-Man NL
The Gazette | Latendresse unlikely to dress vs. Panthers [Habs Inside/Out] Latendresse unlikely to dress vs. Panthers by Dave Stubbs Guillaume Latendresse, struggling with just two shots on goal through four games this season, did not practise this morning with the Canadiens' four lines, giving rise to speculation that he will be a healthy scratch tomorrow night vs. the Florida Panthers. Expected lines: Higgins-Koivu-Ryder Smolinski-Plekanec-Kovalev Kostitsyn-Grabovski-Kostopoulos Bégin-Chipchura-Dandenault Cristobal Huet gets the call in nets. No changes are expected on defence. Cataclaw
1. Wonder if this Lats benching will be a bit of a kick in the butt. I think it's been done to give other players a chance, not as a punititive measure or a wake up call, since Lats himself has admitted to playing poorly. 2. Hope Grabs brings his A game 3. Obligatory GO HABS GO :hlogo:

lazy26
I think the versatility of our top 2 lines... our third line can (and WILL score) and our fourth line is decent as usual. This is one of those games we SHOULD win. Yay for TSN!
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Smolinski will be good on that line. It's the third line that's a head-scratcher to me. One plodding plugger, one completely unaccomplished rookie C, and one player who has shown hints of a lethal, game-breaking shot and high-end skills but whose play has been erratic. That's not coaching, that's a total shot in the dark.

Habitforming
It figures that Vokoun will be playing. He always does well against us. Why can't we get breaks like the Leafs and play against all the backups in the league....we would win unlike the leafs.
l<OV4L3V
why do i have a bad feeling about this game... Keys to the game: Kovalev needs to stop hitting the damn post and score an actual goal Garth Murray/Kosto need to know their role and set the damn tone with some early hits Stay out of the box (horton, weiss, jokinen=lethal) Komisaurek rex needs to scrap, especially if someone pisses him off Huet bails us out a couple of times Edited October 16, 2007 by l<OV4L3V

I'll go out on a limb and say 2 goals and one assist for Higgins in a 5-2 win.

Chris
Maybe, but they haven't scored more then 3 in any game this year. I'll take any win, by any score. Prediction: The Habs will get in there first fight of the year. Murray or Kostopolous.
