brobin
Shit... popped another in the top corner.... For the record people who hate Huet.. please notice the same kind of goals going in against Price... if a sniper can find the top corner, its a goal on any goalie in this league most of the time... A slash should only be called with an intent to injure. Lapierre caught nothing but WOOD! i agree, but the rules were changed coming out of the lockout. If you slash a stick hard enough to break it or knock it out of the players hand, they call it a penalty.
kenadian
The 2nd goal seems to deflect off Hammy's stick.........
Athlétique.Canadien
Washington wants this one. It was evident even with the 2-0 lead. Montreal can ill afford any more collapsing plays against the likes of Ovechkin and Backstrom in the D zone. Get it back to basics Habs! brobin
I am actually more confident now. The habs always sit on a lead, but when they blow it in the 2nd they tend to come back fighting hard. Its when they sit back in the 3rd that we alwasy seem to lose. Boys need to keep playing hard now.
brobin
Ever notice how the habs stop skating with a lead and then start taking lazy penalties... it all starts with the feet... keep them moving!
sbhatt
Bad penalty by Koivu...and in a game where he's looking so-so at best. He needs to crank it up and play with Kovalev-level intensity. One line can't do it alone!
lazy26
Ì`m not liking the looks of this. We`ve yet to win when trailing after 2 periods.
kenadian
Wow, they score just as the CAN-SWE game starts.......guess they want to watch it too........
Dirty Harry
###### this is what happens when the habs miss so many open nets, BURY THOSE CHANCES GUY AND SAKU!!
sbhatt
Terrible goal on Price
brobin
Crap.. another perfect shot to the top of the net, another goal. (not tipped either). That one looked stoppable however, it wasn't a perfect shot by any means. Monteal still needs to learn how to shoot ala the Ryder goal in the last game. Still, that last one was a real killer. the habs started coasting after the 2 goal lead and got burned again. They better shake it off and come out flying in the 3rd. Juice33
Turning point is the Lapierre penalty. It was 2-0 with the Habs pressing for 3, then a ludicrous call, and the Caps are off to the races. The slash didn't even break the other players stick, never seen that call before.
Prime Minister Koivu
Price would like that one back I'm sure. Bad goal at a bad time.
Sir_Boagalott
AAARRRGGG, stupid Bettman always catoring to the Americans. Making this a day game is brain dead. Why cater to Washington fans when there are more Habs fans actually at the game. It truly makes no sense. Oh well, the Caps fans get to watch the Redskins, Yeah for them. At least somebody gets to watch 2 games they want to see today. And another thing that pisses me off is why the hell do the Capitals have a FireFox theme and the Habs dont? Go Habs Go!! Gold Canada Gold!!
Cataclaw
I know Ovechkin is super talented, i know Backstrom is too, but the bottom line is they let the 2-goal lead turn into a 1-goal deficit. 2nd period blues hit the Habs once again. Time to come back in the 3rd. Kovalev is playing with passion, throwing hits, generating plays, trying to spark the team, you can see Koivu is trying too, but it's just not working. Komisarek is also laying on the body. Glad to see some leadership. Let's hope they can put the period behind them and translate that passion into a win. 20 minutes is plenty of time. GO HABS GO
Cataclaw
Idiotic penalty on Lapierre. Since when can you not knock the stick out of someone's hands??? Hi Juice33, I think from the ref's perspective it looked more like a slash and not just a harmless tap to knock him away. But uh.. that being said.. there's a game thread for game comments! MFT77
Need a big 3rd period comeback. Theme of the 2nd period would have to be the stupid penalties. Just kills any momentum the Habs had. 2 in the offensive zone. The Kovalev line looking very dangerous. Need to bury some chances. Not to bash on Price, but not looking too good today. The 3rd goal just atrocious. That kind of play will keep him on the bench. Love the hard bodychecks by Komi.
Easy Ryder
Very bad oal allowed by Price. Ovechkin gaol was unstoppable. Backstrom was sharp and fast. Third goal should never had happened, on the knees from 30 feet?? Melanson new trick or what. Anyway it's a team thing and they totqally blew it in the 2nd period. Koivu looks like Smolinski. What the hell is he doing on PK and when will Chipchura a face off in his zone?? Streit is a PP specialist but on defense ouch always skating back...somebody else should play with Hammer. Gorges or even Breezer for a couple of games. And i just loved Ovechkin hit on Koivu. Blame me ifyou want but it was hard it was clean and it came from a superstar. Prime Minister Koivu
Price sucks today. Put Huet in, even if he is sick.
KoZed
Price hasn't looked good on any of the Cap's goals. Aside from the 1st Ovechkin goal, all the other were stoppable.
nhfarber
you'd think that with huet back and getting most of the starts, Price would really come up and want it. Doesn't seem like the four games on the bench gave him any added motivation.
