I look forward to seeing him play. I like his potential and hope he can be as good as Pleks was for the Habs.

... and give me some slack here, I have never said "I get a hard" anything like others have. I have only mentioned that I really like him and cheer every time he shows his talent.

I don't think think the significant other knows.

I honestly hope beck works out for your sake. Or every time a person gets excited about a not "guaranteed" prospect people will mention you and beck lol

(My friends still mention tinordi to me....)

No hurry for him and no good spot for him, is there on the Habs.

I think he could play his way onto the fourth line.  Whether that's best for his development is another question.

A bit surprised he signed a two-year deal though.  I guess that gives him a bit of security if Montreal elects not to sign him but I was expecting a one-year agreement.

Seems another year in Europe might be best, but wonder how he will look at training camp?

The Question That Should Be Asked About Oliver Kapanen – HabsWorld.net

And Engstrom still a work in progress.

Grading Adam Engström’s 2023-24 season (habseyesontheprize.com)

"Yes, the sophomore defenceman faced tough matchups, but still needs to be generally better in the defensive zone when it comes to reads and decision-making."...

..."However, concentration lapses remain an issue. Rögle wanted to exit the zone with control and speed during the post-season, but this led to several occasions where Engström, holding the puck along the boards, threw it into the middle of the ice and turned it over to the opposition."

Beck had nice steal and SH scoring chance in the 1st, seems a smart player.

Beck scores in the 2nd, up 2-0

Parekh scores 1g2a  makes it 3-0

"I'm proud of my development this season" - Owen Beck | Radio-Canada

I thought he was fantastic. Because of his identity as a player when he was active, the fact that he just retired, it's perfect for his role. He's really helped me this season. He edited video footage, we talked about it and he made suggestions. He's been an important part of my development this year.

Two-year deal for Daniil Sobolev in the KHL: https://spartak.ru/news/spartak-zaklyuchil-kontrakt-s-zashhitnikom-daniilom-sobolevyim/

Montreal has until next June to sign him or lose his rights.

He's not exactly a top prospect at this point, even on RD. Given that he's going back to Russia anyway, surely Hughes won't use one of the few available contract slots for him.

Yeah, that's a pretty safe assumption.  I'm not sure if they even bothered to invite him to rookie camp this year (or it was another visa issue).

I agree ... but they have another year to decide just in case 24/25 happens to be break-through season

Beck vs London today 7:30

A+ eh?

Grading Vinzenz Rohrer’s 2023-24 season (habseyesontheprize.com)

"In a mid-season conversation with Zürich coach Marc Crawford, he said that Rohrer is “easy co coach, eager to learn, and he forced his way into the team by being too good to be sent to another team.” While not playing on either top line, Rohrer sometimes got the chance to play on the power play, and points trickled in with a slow but steady pace."

(He compares him to Gallagher, but Gallagher piled up the goals in the WHL at similar age, in weaker league and bigger role; but other than gritty play for smaller forward i dont see it, maybe more like Harvey-Pinard?)
