dlbalr
For the second straight year, Owen Beck was named to the OHL's Third All-Star team. (The two centres ahead of him were Dalibor Dvorsky and Calum Ritchie.) https://chl.ca/ohl/article/ohl-announces-2023-24-all-star-and-all-rookie-teams/
DON
Beck plays today vs the WHL team. Assume @ 7:30 on TSN. Last game he had lots smart plays, was a bit chippy & physical, great on faceoffs and had a few dumb turnovers in own end. But, London was a very strong team. That Parekh kid looked very slow vs one London forward on a race for dumped in puck, maybe was end of shift? but didnt seem swiftest of skaters.
Peter Puck
I have been unimpressed with Parekh in the Memorial cup. Its only been 3 games but he hasn't looked near as good as the London Dmen.
DON
JUst a lack of speed stood out. He puck skills and smarts , also stood out.
alfredoh2009
Maybe Miguel is still in the organisation Did the Lions come to an agreement with Miguel Tourigny? That’s the wild conclusion I am drawing from this seemingly innocuous post. https://t.co/8qVy1ClM7O — Andrew Zadarnowski (@AZadarski) June 2, 2024
DON
Go Saginaw... or Beck anyways! London has to be heavy favourites today.
DON
2-0 after 1st period; Beck 2g 3 shots, 6/8 on faceoffs and ran over Leaf prospect with clean open ice hit. Out shooting them 13-1 What an dirty elbow by London player on Parekh, right to the chin and only point of contact, dirty hit. Two goals, some great defensive plays and some flare in celebrating his goals. He seems m’aller than other players on the ice but surely doesn’t play small. DON
Looked like ol Dale Hunter was gonna blow a gasket, he was turning red arguing against game misconduct, that would be called 100% of the time. He had a similar gutless cheapshot long ago, ol timey hockey eh Dale. You tell him Ray! Pierre Turgeon says Hi Dale.

DON
Great for Beck to end junior career/start summer on a high note, seems a smart player and bottom-six NHL centre seems his floor.

I will be happy if he becomes a solid NHL 3rd liner on a contending team; and extatic if that team in MTL

I think Commandant also had him rated 4 or 5 in his ratings a while ago and I can see why. The kind of defensemen that can play in all situations and eat up a lot of minutes. I've been stuck in trial and that's eating all my time.

alfredoh2009
