Moen being there is probably very short term.

But he had a goal and an assist last game... Plekanec had 3 points.

Leave them together for now, we all know it won't work forever, but leave them together for the short term, and when it stops producing make changes then.

Really? How long does it take for stitches to be removed?

Thats not the problem, the problem is infection. He was cut with a skate blade and when he plays they will need to ensure no dirty hockey equipment removes the bandage that will surely be on his leg for some time to come.

I hope I am wrong but see early November as a more likely return date.

JMMR likes to prepare for the worst, remember? :)

It all depends what was cut open and how deep. 2 weeks seems reasonable unless there are complications.

Yes Spring and Summer in the C division.

Right on, how was it? I got a few invites to play in the C and D, but I heard things get pretty chippy. Personally, I don't think the injuries would be worth it. Any truth to that?

It can get crazy that's for sure I laugh a lot but I love it. The overall league is not run very well of course but those are hopefully growing pains.

Yeah I'm happy it's only two weeks. I really get depressed when I see Habs players go down. Spaceman is out 2-3 weeks? That's not so bad either, he'll get some rest earlier on in the season to be better suited for the long haul of the season.

Now the kids really have to play like they did in the last game. They can do it. Man, our defense is good once Markov and co. get back.

Markov - Emelin

PK - Gill

Georges - Campoli

Diaz - Spacek

Weber 4th line D reserve PP specialist

No doubt!

Honestly, with Markov in the lineup the Habs inch ever closer to the "elite" status. Without him, I think they'll have a season pretty similar to last year.

Ultimately, while the injuries suck, they present great opportunities for the young guns to strut their stuff. Players like Palushaj, Emelin, Weber and Diaz will all be eager not to lose their spots, so they'll likely play some inspired hockey.

We see, starting tomorrow...

Anyone here believe Markov plays by November?

I assume with Markov's injury history so far management will be cautious about when he returns. I wouldn't be surprised if it was December.

I'm less concerned about when he plays, more interested in how long he's around for.

Or how he plays when he is back... come to think of it, what hasn't been much discussed is if he be the same caliber or similar to it when he comes back?

Does anyone have info on other players who have had this injury or sequence of and how they did when they came back?

The haunting thing about Markov was the way he blew out his knee the second time: on a nothing play that looked basically harmless, like the sort of impact players absorb all the time. Now I may be wrong about that; it may have been just a freak, one-in-a-million thing. Not trying to be alarmist - I'm not a medical doctor - but that was a pretty weird injury and it's hard to know what it tells us about #79's durability going forward.

I think Markov just had a string of really bad luck. Not sure that it's indicative of his future durability.

I mean surely he won't injure that leg a third time???

Way I see it, if Markov gets hurt again his leg will simply fall off...

Subban will have to skate over to pick up the pieces, the Habs will get out of whatever deal they have with him, and we'll move on like we have for the last 2 years.
