Trizzak
On a related note, a random draw will occur from people who respond in this thread to play forward for Laval. 1
EMELINATOR
Nice upgrade. Weal is versatile and has plenty of speed. He can also kill penalties. Low risk move, MBs specialty. Wont miss Chaput or whatever his name is.
dlbalr
Weal's a nice depth addition but I wonder if he actually cracks the regular lineup (4th line RW) or is a healthy scratch for the most part.
xXx..CK..xXx
Both former 3rd round picks from the 2010 draft. Weal at 70th overall and Chaput at 89th. I'm fine with there having been a market for a return on Chaput. Small win.
EMELINATOR
Right handed faceoff specialist, was nearly 60% in Philly. Good pairing with Thompson on 4th line. Will drive people crazy, relentless.
Commandant
Weal is much better than Chaput. I like this trade a lot. He could be a long-term fourth line C solution. Very good defensively.
Meller93
I had a feeling he was kaput.
dreegking
Weird. Same agent. Both probably whispered they’d like a change of scenery to the agent. And he said, “Done”.

Lehkonan Thompson Weal When we are dressing a healthy line up.

Neech
Is it a bad sign that he got dumped by two different teams this season?

Chaput has been dumped by two teams in 12 months as well..... His previous team let him walk after not making a qualifying offer, and now the Habs are trading him. Its the nature of players at that end of the lineup, especially ufa's to be.
Canajun
This is a good example of Bergevin trying to re-invent the weal. 1

Technically, three teams in 12 months. Vancouver traded him to Chicago at the draft, then the Blackhawks opted not to qualify him.
Link67
Weal probably have to calm down with all the pun use in this thread at some point guys
xXx..CK..xXx
This trade turned out to be an exemplary example of Bergevin wealing and dealing.
