Hutson out here making Markov-like offensive zone passes.

Not sure why St Louis is not adjusting the lines. That Dach line is a tire fire.

First goal, PP was a result of that line. They come out again and another goal against.

they need to get Dach going. The first line is also not clicking. I'd pu Slafvkosky with Dach and heineman and Newhook on the top line.

Armia has gone back to being I show up every 6 games Armia.

they should also waive Anderson. I'm so sick of seeing that dumb ass.

Habs have been playing well. They deserve better

I'd say the Evans line, Matheson and Hutson are playing well.

I thought Slafkovsky did great things at both ends, including that great back check to stop that Isles 2 on 1

I also thought that it was generally a well played period. Although the Dach line doesn’t work.

I'm a big fan of Heineman and would like him to replace Armia on the second line.

Primeau makes me nervous and my confidence level is low.

The late Caufield goal was an unexpected present

Heineman had a good period for sure, and good call on Slaf.

Mailloux after Anderson flubbed a beautiful pass from Evans!

That might be five minutes of the most total domination of the Habs I've seen in a long time. And yet, miraculously, no goal against. Until that sequence started, I thought it was a pretty even game with the Habs doing some good things. Suddenly the Isles took over. Hopefully we can have a bounce back shift and push back.

That was almost 5 straight minutes hemmed in the Dzone!!!!!!!!

Hutdon, Mailloux, Dvorak, Heineman, Kapanen

BRUTAL

Brutal, yes ... but Kapanen had a broken stick, and the Habs' bench was at the other end of the ice. Meanwhile, the Islanders were able to keep throwing fresh troops into the fray.

Because the Habs were unable to get the puck and even clear the zone

Yes ... and yet the Islanders didn't get a single dangerous shot on goal. Kudos to the Habs' defenders who kept the shots to the outside, even when totally exhausted. It's not easy to get to the puck first when you have a fresh opponent and you've been on the ice for two or three continuous minutes--and effectively playing a man down.

Not surprising ... going into the game the NYI were 4th lowest in G/GP in the NHL
